Agreed, the point is they are and have been three of the greatest fighters of this era.

We are not talking about three business men who swindled there way to the top, these are three guys who have had to spill blood, sweat and tears to get to where they are, there is nowhere to hide in the ring, therefore they have used the tools at their disposal to win their fights.

Mayweather is the most talented boxer of his generation, he lacks heart in my opinion but so what, he is a genius who makes his opponents fight his fight.

Calzaghe, may not punch in a text book style and doesn't travel but he has remained as Champion for almost a decade and its up to real fighters to tear his legacy away, at least Lacy tried.

Hatton, to be fair has not produced of late, but he is a respectful guy who fights with his heart and has tried to do as we have all asked by fighting in the States, he is a two weight champion, something no-one on here can boast and he is hard to beat. I think Mayweather would beat him but I don't think Mayweather fancies doing the job as it would not be a comfortable night.

I dont understand where a lot of the hate from Calzaghe comes from and the way he punches...Sure he does punch a lot open handed but so doesnt a lot of fighters...We all know he has weak hands so thats probably why he does it...But Calzaghe does it in such a high volume that no matter how hard or weak they are at the rate he punches they are going to be effective...Personally I think Calzaghe is one talented boxer and enjoy watching him fight...Its a shame he is held back because he could really take out the top guys as well...He brings excitement to an otherwise dead division..Probably the most exciting guy between 168-200

Many fight fans claim that Mayweather's running is frustrating to watch. Many of his opponents seem to be claiming that too. That there would be no fight had they not chased PBF down because he wasnt making any fight.

I think that the two situations are pretty comparable. Not so sure about Calzaghe's.

and if people are into some brawl **** they should go to bar and see one without paying too.

and most of the 38 fighter Floyd faced didnt know how to cut down the ring and force him to fight and that is also part of boxing but excessive cliching isnt If Hatton clinch alitte and for short time i would say okay but he rest on the oppenet shoulder which also reduce his stamina

The casual fans pay the money, they are allowed to have their say. If they dont like watching PBF fight cos he runs too much, or Hatton fight cos he hugs too much, that's their right.

However, we discussing it here should have a little more knowledge and should be capable of thinking about it in a more intelligent way. Which is why I dont think either of them should be criticised for their style of winning until it is no longer a successful style. Hatton has never been disqualified for his hugging and as far as I'm aware has very rarely if ever been docked points for it, until he does, then he is using a perfectly legal technique to allow him to win.
