That was my thought as well "oh well, he's a Showtime guy, we can't mention him on our Network". **** that, Diego was great for the sport and was a hell of a better fighter than some of these so called "stars" HBO swings from their teste satchels. When was the last time Jermain Taylor put on a performance like Corrales? Oh yeah....nevermind.

Back to the topic. I just thought that if ESPN could honor Chico with video memorials and the honorable 10 bell ring, HBO could've at least thrown together a video tribute. Perhaps talked to Floyd about what it was like seeing Chico's heart surface in the ring.
Yeah they still doing it but I can't stand watching them. Yeah since floyd did fight Chico they could have let him talk about what it was like being with him in the ring and what type of person he was and all, They canceled some programmed fights on ESPN classic to show some of Chico's, I guess the HBO heads don't have a heart or really don't care about boxing..

It's amazing really. Corrales had so many memorable fights, his fights with Casamayor were awesome to watch. His fight with Freitas was remarkable. And needless to say, the first fight with Castillo was epic. Already people are considering it one of the greatest fights of the last 25 years. I can't help but think of the amazing things people will be saying about Corrales/Castillo and Chico himself in the future.

Indeed, Corrales was on HBO for a short period of time. I don't know why they couldn't pay tribute to him, but I really lost respect for them because of it. They didn't have to suck Oscar's balls for the entire 90 minute program. And with Floyd right there, I thought it made the perfect opportunity to speak of Corrales undying heart and courage.

Instead they did a ****ty job interviewing De La Hoya and Mayweather, with Lampley and merchant both praising Oscar while giving out subtle verbal bitchslaps to Floyd. Then to finish it off they showed the disappointment that was "De La Hoya/Mayweather". And after watching that boring fight, they had the balls to break into debate about a possible rematch, with floyd promising to stand "toe-to-toe" next time............
