I agree with you somewhat, I think Floyd would have tried to counter the jab, but Floyd was fighting from the outside & the jab would have kept him at a healthy distance from DLH making him have to fight on the inside.

In a certain sense I could have seen him winning the fight if he used it because he was winning the rounds that he did use it. On the other hand Mayweather adapts better during fights than most fighters and probably would have upped the pace and counter right hands over the jab. Who knows maybe there will be a rematch but I heard DLH was retiring.
Also agree somewhat, if DLH had systematically satred winning round after round with the jab at the start of the fight it wouldn't have been that appealing, but If Mayweather was forced to pick up the pace it could have been better then it was.

I was as optamistic as possible with the aggression and only gave him about 4 rounds. all the pressuring did was leave him landing like 17% of his total punches, not at all impressive.

I agree, I think DLH would've had a better chance of winning had he kept jabbing but I also think that PBF would've made adjustments. PBF is very very good at making adjustments.

i think Oscar got really tired. If you notice in the 11 or 12 round Floyd pushed Osca slightly and Oscar looked like he was gonna collapse

i think a guy like Ricky Hatton whos not slow, has great stamina and comes in and throws punches all day can get his face into floyds chest and win a decision for landing more punches

I thought floyd won it when I was watching, but im a negative person and HBO was dead set against oscar having a chance of a close decision from the 8th rounf on. I had it 115-114 for Oscar the second time I watched it. Punchstats were ****ed up, if you take away the bogus land percentage that the ppl gave PBF he has no reason to be given the victory.

Anyway, back on topic, I think as I said before that Oscar was scared to throw the jab because PBF grew half a cajone mid-late in the fight and started to pop Oscar. Oscar also wasnt comfortable throwing the jab given his exhaustion in the late rounds because it takes lots of energy to keep up his D that was in reality shutting PBF down.

I think this fight was a good example of two fighters afraid of each other, Floyds fear lessening as the fight went on and Oscar's growing.

if Oscar wasnt tired like i thought he was, i dont see the reason he can perform better in a rematch. You keep jabbing and u win the fight. If u saw the replay u can Floyd had a bloody nose when the judges card was annoced and at the press conference he had some swelling on top of his right eye
