He didn't ask to pick a boxer he asked how to get by his ****ing defense. I didn't say it would be easy. Fighters that come to mind with that type of style are Hatton and Cotto but I still see them getting outboxed. Oscar came with the right approach, just couldn't do it the whole way through the fight.
How Do You Stop Floyd's Defense? (if possible)

oscar had or still has the best chance but that ****ing idiot did not use his jab other wise he would of won it clearly
williams/margarito both are kinda dumb when it comes to ring smarts and sticking to the gameplanComment

For ****'s sake this guy is not a ****ing god. He hand picks his opponents and is definitely not a warrior. Sure he's got hands and GOOD defense but he's just a Run of the speedy but no power fighter. If you just use a strong, stiff jab he won't do ****(unless that shoulder **** counts for anything), then back him up on the ropes and go to town in other words do what Glenn Johnson did to Roy. I mean come on, Floyd didn't look that good at all against oscar and Oscar isn't considered an upper echelon fighter anymore he's more of a legend now.Comment

you have to remeber oscars doesnt really have a good right hand and when hes not throwing the jab hes not as effective as a fighter...if oscars right hand was a finish product he would fight in a side stance like toney.. but hes not confident in it, if he keeps shadowboxing viciously he migh pick it upComment

What are you guys smoking? What fight were you watching? You guys keep talking about "just do what Oscar did"? Dude landed only 20% of his punches. That wasnt a great style for Oscar at all.
Then one guy said he's off balance when he turns side ways? Have you ever seen him? He's not off balance. He may look like it but he's not. Another guy said to get him on the ropes and unload punches like Hatton would do? No way that works. Even Hatton said so. Thats what Floyd wants you to do because he will pick most of them off and it will tire you out. Even Hatton said he wouldnt do alot of those things that he normally does against Floyd because thats what Floyd wants.
The way to penetrate Floyd's D is to throw straight shots. Hardly no one does it anymore. A jab also helps. Williams has a good chance but not because of his output. He has the best chance because he is a lefty and its hard for Floyd and everyone else to stop a lefty from hitting you. Thats why Zab and Chop are the only guys to really buzz him.
Overall though, its just a hard D to penetrate and its basically impossible because he has mastered it. You should forget about penetrating it and just land punches even if he's blocking all of them. That still counts for something if you dont let Floyd hit you back much. You just have to be patient to not keep loading up because you will wear outComment

Definitely lots of body shots (aka Cotto) and good fients. You need to fake Floyd out then hit where you think his face will be when you throw a punch. You can't just throw a jab at his face, he dodges those. Fake a right and throw a hard jab to the left and you will get him.
Focusing on the body then trying for a great punch up top is great. I think you should probably watch Mayweather-Castillo to get a good opinion, not Mayweather-DLH. Castillo would throw a wide right hook because Mayweather would shift left to get off the ropes, it worked well.
Winning on points using pressure and body shots should do the trick.Comment

Hit him in the **** really hard in the first round, so they don't stop the fight. That'll slow him down.Comment
