I woke up about mins ago to see the news on teletext, my best friend also txtd me the new also.
Life has a funny habit of giving and taking away, he died two years till the day of his best win over castillo. That in itself gives you clues about the nature of life.
Things happen, almost during the most unexpected of times, and suddenly your world is on the brink of collapse, or, you get thrown a lifeline, its probably happened to most of us at some stage, a situation where u think its all over, or a situation where a part of you is coming to the end, then out of the blue, something random happens and changes it all,
What the above sort of means is, that on a forum there is a detached sense of responsibilty, you can say and do things without feeling the concequences because we are words on a screen, not people.
What has happened today puts that all into perpspective,
No one wishes this sort of thing on anybody and my heart goes out to corrales friends, family, and even some of his fans on boxing scene (k-ball15 comes to mind), must be pretty numbing at the moment.
I find it ironic that after all the punishment he took in the ring, he should pass away in an accident, but such is life, it was his time to go, and he's left himself a legacy as a hall of famer and he will always be remembered.
Im not just saying this because he is dead,
In 2003/4(i think) i honestly think he should have been fighter of the year, he beat Casamayor, Frietas and Castillo back to back, no matter how he did it, Corrales was a man's man inside the ring, he fought them all, even when the odds were against him.
So perhaps we should appriciate the fighters we have, while they are still around.
Anyways, im done, Corrales may god bless your soul, and i hope your family are blessed and well looked after.

Chico was also known as one of nicest guys in boxing, i remember reading about it on another boxing site months ago, he had a reputation for being easy to interview, he also many close mates who were world class fighters also, i cant remember the names at this stage, im sure in the next few hours we will see them pay tributes.
