Is Joe Calzaghe ducking Mikkel kessler?

Come now. Kessler is probably on the brink of making his way into the top 20 P4P fighters, if not already there. This still doesnt overcome the fact that Taylor, Wright and Hopkins are all much higher up the list than him.

That doesn't mean anything. He can fight good competition in Denmark because good fighters will go there because Kessler is so popular and money and can be made but none of them will be rated in the top 20 p4p. Not because they arn't good fighters either. European fighters especially at higher weights never get rated in that.

No, its cos he aint ducking him, come on dude, nobody ducks Kessler to go fight Jermain Taylor.

Calzaghe should fight Mikkel "stay at home" Kessler.

But only if the Taylor, Wright and Hopkins fights don't happen.

Only a fool would think Calzaghe is ducking a Top 50 P4P (at best) Kessler by fighting a top 5/10 one in Taylor.

Not manny places do more than top-10 p4p lists so theres not a lot to go by. One of the few that do, i really hate to bring up - bc lot of their rankings are utter BS. Gonna do it anyway just to make the point. Boxrec got Kessler no. 19 (Calzaghe no 10). Doesn't prove a damn thing, but only shows that perhaps not everyone shares your views that Kessler is no. 50 P4P at best.

For a young fighter, who's not american and with only one or two US TV-appearences to be considered top-20 P4P - damn maybe that guy kessler aint half as bad as SHB likes to think.



AND beating Taylor still wont say a damn thing about whether Calzaghe is actually the best at SMW or not. It MIGHT earn him more money (depending on how much Taylor will want) - but it does nothing to prove his "king of SMW" claims.
Taylor has earned his P4P status fighting as a middle. It doesn't automaticly translate to the same at SMW.

If Taylor and Joe get it on, Its gonna be one hell of a fight! Cant wait..To be honest Joe Vs Taylor is bigger than a kessler fight...If you look at some of the fights of both Hessler and Taylor I think IMO that Taylor is the harder fight for Joe to take..So good on him...And I dont think he is Ducking Kessler at all he would do the business on him all day long.
