I know. I was responding to the general topic, not to your post.

Calzaghe just wants Kessler to come fight in his home town, with his judges, his referees...as he has done in every other fight.

why doesn't Joe ever fight outside his hometown, or close to it? Where is he fighting Taylor? Joe isn't ducking kessler, their situations just won't allow them to fight. maybe after taylor we will finally get to see this fight.

If he fights Taylor, then obviously not. Taylor is much more proven at this point than Kessler. And Calzaghe has wanted Taylor, Wright or Hopkins for several years now, so now he's going to face the guy that beat Hopkins back-to-back, and drew with Wright.

Joe wants a super-fight against a US fighter. He called out Hopkins and Jones for the past like 7-8 years, literally. He's been beating guys like Kessler his entire career, except most of us in the US haven't heard about them so he doesn't get credit for it. Now that Kessler looked tremendous on HBO everyone wants to see them fight, but for my money, I'd like the Taylor matchup more. Taylor has a willingness to fight anyone that makes him special in my eyes, above Hopkins, Jones and other guys who would shy away from tough fights in their career. Taylor will fight ANYone. He might be my favorite current fighter.

Taylor is a natural SMW anyway, if not a LHW. He's undefeated. Reigning champ. Some big wins. Same as Calzaghe. The only thing that this matchup has against it is Joe is past his prime. But he's still undefeated and will be able to get super motivated for this fight and turn back the clock, I think. The big question is- Will his hands hold up through another long camp?

But to answer the question of the thread- NO.

im a dane and a kessler fan, but i really dont think neither mikkel or joe is ducking, IF and only IF joe can get a taylor, then of course joe should take it, he would gain alot more recognition if he could beat him., taylor is head above both joe and mikkel when it comes to name and fame..

the QUESTION is, is this another story of a big fight for joe never happening, a case of history repeating itself..

first of all, lets get one and the most important thing straight, a week or 2 ago, palle and warren agreed not to make their respective offers public, this happened after warrens 5 mill offer, and this offer has NEVER been rejected, PALLE and WARREN have planned a meeting in the middle of this month.. so those who claim offers has been rejected, well i DISAGREE.. it is called god damn NEGOTIATIONS..

He is not ducking him. Kessler wants 50/50 split. Thats not and should not happen. Calzaghe is the main man. He has to get the main share.

Better idea, Calzaghe fights Taylor instead, bigger name, bigger name recognition, HBO,

Wont be on PPV tho, that where JC is gonna make extra money, He needs to get his ass on PPV.

HBO free to view and ITV 3 after 10 years of boxing?

He may regret that when his carrer is over,

Lets be honest, itv 3 is shocking, i personally would rather be shown on Youtube than Itv 3, more people would watch.

                      lol.
