No one that has commented on this topic has pointed out specific arguments I used and explained why they are wrong. Technical_Skill, thanks for saying you like my posts, but you and all the others who are saying my scoring of the fight is absurd have not yet given any reason why, and I gave tons of reasons to support my take on it.

I had this fight 120-106 for Mayweather, damn biased corrupt HBO didn't show when Mayweather knocked down de la Hoya twice with his jab. Actually de la Hoya should have gotten point deductions for low blows and the outcome would be 120-104

Your argument seems to be made on the basis that because Mayweather made De La Hoya miss with alot of punches he was automatically winning the rounds however that completely ignores the fact that De La Hoya was landing more than Floyd in some rounds and landing with better quality as well. If you appreciate Floyd's style in the match more than De La Hoya's then I could understand why you have scored the fight to Floyd but to make it 120-108 is not only biased but it is also quite ****** which is surprising given that you clearly have a good knowledge of the fight game. Maybe you should watch the fight again, I don't know, but I can assure you that even if you do side with Floyd it was much closer than 120-108.

I thought Oscar won atleast three rounds convincingly. There were a couple of other rounds you can argue either way. Thats how you get 8-4 and 7-5.

            Without question.

            120-108 is way off.

Its nothing personal, i read his posts on the regular.

But ive criticised people for scoring the fight 115-113 for de la hoya,

If i dont criticise this guy for scoring it 120-108 for mayweather then im a nuthugger and biased for sure.

Well, my advise is for you to keep your day job, DeLaHoya outworked Mayweather early in the fight. This fight was closer to a draw than it was a decision, neither fighter showed up in this one, but to say Mayweather won every round is absolute b.s. - sorry man, but you have posted much better than this. I personaly am very disappointed in both fighters....

I had it 116-112 for Mayweather the first time I watched it, and 118-110 the second time. I gave rounds 2 and 6 to DLH, but I put a star on round 6 in my notes because it was very close.

Bob Canobbio, who runs CompuBox Inc., which compiles punch statistics for televised fights, suggested it was difficult for the pro-De La Hoya crowd to see how effective Mayweather was defensively.
De La Hoya threw 587 total punches, to Mayweather's 481, according to CompuBox. But Mayweather landed 207, to De La Hoya's 122.
Right down the line -- total punches, jabs, power punches -- all the numbers favored Mayweather significantly.
"There were a lot of close rounds," Canobbio said, "but Mayweather was catching a lot of punches on his arms and his elbows, and De La Hoya was just missing with a lot of the shots he threw."

Some people either can't or refuse to his greatness.

I was there and from my point of view, there wasn't 587 punches thrown between Oscar and Floyd put together. The fight was a total letdown considering it was being billed as a "fight for the ages" - it looked more like a "fight between the aged"....
