Mayweather proved he was good at counter attacks with de la hoya and avoiding being hit. He got points for hiting him every once in a while, de la hoya was the main aggressor. Yet, de la hoya has pulled mayweather tactic before and lost some fights, biased in my opinion.

In na rematch, mayweather is done for.
Why trade with a naturally bigger man when you can outbox him? De La Hoya was throwing tons of punches on the ropes but none were effective. Only the jab was working. Those flurries he was working rarely ever worked.

Hello to everyone, can't believe this is the first time I stumbled on to this site.

How could anyone possibly think this fight was anything but a dominant performance by Floyd. Oscar gave it his best shot, he fought a decent fight against a nearly untouchable fighter.

How do you steal rounds by wildly throwing flurries that miss the mark?? Mayweather gained my vote just by the amazing way he dodged those punches...not to mention countering and landing after most of the missed flurries.

I knew when I saw the first judge score for DLH that it would be called "controversial" by pro-DLH fans. DLH is a great fighter, but let's face facts here - he was simply outclassed (in terms of technical boxing).

Like DLH/Tito, PBF shouldve been given the loss for being half-assed among many many other things previously mentioned by other ppl that I wont go into.
So you take everything a fighter says before a fight seriously? You believed Floyd was gonna give Oscar a brutal beating? He was trying to sell the fight. Floyd would have won unanimous if he didn't stay on the ropes and let Oscar land parts of big flurries. People wouldn't have liked it though. He could have had Oscar missing even more all night.

Floyd cant outbox oscar. He avoided trading blows with him at nearly all costs because he knew what would have happened.
Thats why he played it safe, dogded counter punch to keep the scores of the cards from going to de la hoya. The whole fight, de la hoya was the aggressor, that is a fact and people need to that that into mind. Mayweather has good defense - but so did oscar, his so called power punches hardly slow oscar down, he kept pushing forward.
But, give it to mayweather for being a very smart fighter.
But other than that, the rematch mayweather doing the same wouldnt be likely.

I know Oscar was the aggressor, but it only worked in a few rounds. Floyd did outbox him, or outcountered him. However you wanna put it. Oscar did not push Floyd to his limits. Floyd didn't even use too much energy. Whether the punches slowed down or hurt the other guy they were landing. De La Hoya was fighting good earlier on and just like usual his ass faded.

Oh yeah and I don't care if you think I'm full of ****. Floyd Mayweather won the fight. 2 out of 3 judges agreed with me...

Well its easy to not burn all your energy up when your not fighting...
Mayweather can not handle del la hoya head to head. End of story, this was some lame fight, no knock outs nothing, because mayweather knows he cant knock out oscar no matter how hard he tries. Because but b-hop, no one knocks out oscar LOL
I didnt know who to root for, I'm from philly and love both b hop and oscar.

Biased article by a biased writer. The best you can score for Oscar is 4 rounds, I give Oscar 4 rounds and I was being nice to Oscar, I can't believe what I'm reading from some people.

This was a clear win for Floyd, if you don't think so, then you're hater, biased Oscar fan, blind or clearly a ******.

Anyone who scores this fight for Oscar or even a draw should never be taken seriously anymore.
