    Max Kellerman Treads on Thin Ice during MYWTHER-DLH PPV Broadcast

    IF you'll remember after the fight, Lampley said something likem "The UFC is popular because it's entertaining, but the skill level isnt close to what you saw in the ring tonight."

    Then Max Kellerman said, "I disagree with Jim. I think the skill level is very close..." yaddah yaddah yaddah.

    Jim Lampley was apparently upset with Max and Max may be in a bit of trouble apparently. They were talking about it on the Radio this morning.

    It was kinda like a slap in the face, the new guy telling the old veteran he's wrong.

    Maybe it was a bit disrespectful or w/e

    I agree with Lampley. A boxer may not be able to beat a UFC guy at his own game, but the sport of boxing takes a lot more skill then a brawl. Not saying one is harder then the other, but Boxing is more skillful

          Both are highly skilled crafts. If those MMA fellas make one wrong move with their bodies then they're ****ed...much like with boxing. I don't really get down on UFC and all of that, but it's easy to see that those guys bust their asses extremely hard as well.

          If boxing requires more skill than that's fine, but maybe Lampley was out of line taking a verbal jab at MMA when he didn't necessarily need to. He could have said that MMA was gaining momentum but it will never eclipse boxing because boxing is such a highly skilled craft that has been around forever and the like. I don't think he needed to say that boxing is "lightyears ahead of MMA" to get his point across.

          Max is a confrontational dude...I wouldn't call him a traitor to boxing for saying what he said though. Just my 2 cents.

            UFC = full fighting

            It is not all about "Brawling": many are well trained, well taught Martial Artists that have learned more than one form of fighting, making them well rounded in the "Art" of fighting.

            Boxing was invented for self defense and offense. It is the same as other forms of fighting.

            Boxing is taught in kickboxing and other forms of karate.

            I say this: you take an "elite" boxer from an early age and teach him more forms of fighting, not just boxing, he would do just as well.

                i agree with Max. it wasnt slapping Lampley in the face he said he just disagrees. Can people disagree with one another without someone throwing a ***** fit and crying like a little baby. If Lampley doesnt like being disrespected maybe he should dish out some respect first. MMA fighters bust their ass just as hard as boxers.
