I've found that I seem to be in a minority of people who enjoyed the fight.

I suspect - please confirm - that people were expecting a great fight, and so were disappointed.

As I was expecting a pile of **** fight with Floyd on his bike and Oscar completely uncompetitive, then I was pleased with what I saw.

      Floyd never hurt Oscar.

Oscar didn't gas out physically, he just lost faith in his ability to get Floyd. He folded mentally.

The fight was ok. I never expected it to be great. But I hoped Oscar would go all out. He did not. Neither did Floyd.

You didn't think he made Oscar's legs stiffen for a split second in the fifth?

        Neither did Floyd.
That was hardly a surprise though, was it?

What I mean is...Floyd's speed snapped Oscar a couple of times, but Oscar was never hurt, not in the true gritty sense. Oscar was not in trouble, and Floyd never had the power to get him in trouble. Oscar was surprised a few times by Floyd's speed and accuracy.

But even that was off for Floyd...I've never seen him so innaccurate and unable to land consistently as what took place Saturday night.

He surprised me by his lack of imagination in a way... there was no innovation in his boxing on Saturday night.

But hey, I shouldn't slate someone just because they're not making up new stuff, should I?
