People in America want him to fight a serious opponent not a blown up middle weight, which is exactly what people will say if he beats taylor... And intelligent people are asking this question in America.... Why the **** isn't he fighting Kessler, who is number 2 ranked and is undefeated I have like all of Calzaghes videos and I will delete them if he dodges a guy who has two belts in the super-middle weight division. No one in America will respect him if he beats up another blown-up middle weight. No one at all.
Calzaghe vs. Taylor Sept 22 in Britain?

His Last fights
Joe said a few weeks ago he would like to fight both Taylor and Kessler in his last two or three fights before he retires. If he wants to retire undefeated, then he might decide to evade Mikkel but I don't think he will. I think they're about equal right now, so he has about a 50-50 chance of winning, but as he gets into his late 30's, his chances of beating Kessler will decrease.
From a financial perspective though, it makes sense to fight Taylor first, because if he's beaten by Kessler, then his market value will decline substantially. Joe knows he can beat Taylor. He and Warren will make the decisions that will maximize their earnings before Joe retires.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 05-06-2007, 01:48 PM.Comment

Over 40 posts, and no one asks for the source or link to this story? Taylor will not come to the UK unless there is ton of cash involved, can Warren afford to pay him what he wants?Comment

Hopefully Taylor sticks with his ridiculous 10 mil offer. So, the fight doesn't happen. I don't want to see a super-middle weight beat the **** out of a blown-up middle weight.Comment
