I had it 7-5 Mayweather, I could also understand 8-4 or 7-4-1 for Mayweather. No way Oscar won. I got scared for a second when one judge had it for Oscar.

As for the fight, I liked it. Its a fight that true boxing fans can appreciate. A chess match. It wasnt as exciting as I would've hoped, because most both of them had trouble landing flush. Still a good fight either way.

Yeah, but almost always, it seems, when it's a split decision, the loser gets his winning score read first by the announcer. So as soon as that happened, I knew Floyd got his decision.

I disagree. Floyd won 2 minutes and 45 seconds of the 12th. Oscar landed a few shots, but for the most part Floyd was landing at will in the 12th. It was a fairly close round, but I thought it was Floyd's quite clearly.

Get the **** outta here. Look at Floyd's face at the end, then look at Oscar's. De La Hoya looked like a slapped up ********** who failed to come correct with the cash on time. Hell, look at compu-box already... Oscar lost easy.

I am totally biased towards Oscar, and saw Floyd doing nothing ('cept once or twice for a few minutes) to be wanting Oscars title.

It is very nice of and good of floyd when you can move and counter the way he does, but so it is when you excel in ballet dancing.

But I like to see neither.

After Leonard bitched a decission over Hagler I am used to this kind of scoring, but still I agree with Oscar when he says:

" If I hadn't pressed the fight, there would be no fight "

Floyd does nice talking a fight before and after the bout.

Good post. It was a terrific fight; that was the top of the game right there. They were EVENLY MATCHED and both complete boxers. Floyd deserved the decision but BARELY

no don't do that; they didn't count all the body shots landed against the ropes; look for yourself, don't trust Compubox

Kayjay, I don't know if it was such a terrific fight. I got the sense that Floyd was just doing the bare minimum to win the rounds. I should have expected it but was kinda of dissappointed just the same. My point is, that Floyd could have had a much more impressive performance had he let his hands go alittle more with the intent to hurt his opponent rather than just to 'score.'

Oscar was pressing the action and blocking the vast majority of Floyd's shots. All Mayweather did was pot shot here and there and dance around the ring. It was an outstanding boxing match, however Oscar said it best. You have to BEAT the champ CONVINCINGLY... and Floyd did no such thing. Anyone can shoot out one punch and back pedal around the ring all night. At least Oscar came to fight. Floyd did not win in my opinoin.

Boxing isn't scored by "who came to fight". Floyd landed more punches, cleaner punches and won more rounds. Oscar's fans get all excited when he throws a flurry, but he didn't land ****. Floyd clearly won this fight.
