That sounds like a run_for_your_effing_life-ism. Why do you even care? Floyd is not the poster boy for black America. This is BOXING, not golf.

I don't like using racial terms like "coon" and the like, but he does come off as a jealous and ignorant ******, and surrounded by a camp of likewise ******s!!! Don't even try to start with me about him playing a bad guy charcater either here, this fight makes money with or without controversy, there is no need for Floyd to play a "bad guy" character, he is just playing himself, and it puts the average fan off of him and his image, not on! Say he goes and beats Oscar Saturday and doesn't retire (like as if he will...LOL), he's alienated so many potential fans now, and not just hardcore boxing fans, but the casual fan that just tunes in for these HUGE matchups with his ridiculous antics, and not to mention the insane and disgusting comments from his trainer!!! that arse should have his license revoked permanently, I guess he didn't learn his damned lesson from jumping into the ring in the Judah fight and then getting his license back at the hearing, then laughing at them afterwards....dude, they are just looking for a reason to get you out of boxing forever you disrespectful ****head...LOL! tooo bad you arewn't intelligent enough to notice....keep playing prank calls on roach during interviews that don't work you dumb ****...>LMFAO! The Mayweathers sabotage themselves, they are ignorant, no respect arseholes, and they will eventually get screwed in the long run (at least Uncle Roger, the man is on his way to getting banned forever quickly)!

For the record Floyd probably learned the cadence of his speech from his dad and from his uncle...

How much less could he care then? Seriously, I know you Americans are a little backward, but there's gonna have to come a time when you learn to speak English properly.

Come on guys get real, The way Gayweather has been acting has nothing to do with being white or black, If he was white he would still being acting like a twat..paint him purple hes still the same person being a right ****. lets not go down the old colour of your skin road. We are all way past all that crap..The bottom line is, Hes been acting a Jerk and thats that..It has Nothing to do with showing the black community up.

What next is he going to put on black face and walk to the ring eating chicken? Malcolm x is turning in his grave as we speak.
Similar "Bad Guy" antics were also done by Ali, probably worse than PBF if truth be told. Ali's antics really hurt some of his opponents including Frazier who still understandably holds a grudge.

Also look at the antics of Mayorga and Vargas and you'll see that most boxers capitalize on the golden boy's "Good Guy" image by playing the "Bad Guy" for there fights with him.

They seem to approach some of these fights in a WWE fashion of polarizing fighters as good and bad so that fans could empathize with one or the other. WWE was hugely succesful using this model and it appears that boxing is attempting to use it as well.

What PBF is doing right now is not being a coon, I equate it to being a WWE superstar and he is using one liners similar to the Rock or Stone Cold.

The point you make about Ali is a good one but Mayweather has had the same personality his entire career. It's not something he's conjured just for the buildup to this fight.

Ali and Frazier made up about five years ago. But Ali was a **** leading up to that fight
