i can see this or i can also see the truth. shane wanted to wait until floyd moved up in weight, fought oscar and then have him move down to fight him. he thinks that is smart. what he fails to realize though is that floyd is the bigger draw by default now. and floyd has his trash talking as much as his skills to thank for it. mayweather is hated, and many people will by his fights to see him lose, because he won't lose to oscar may 5th, that's a guarantee. shane knows floyd is the bigger star in boxing right now, and floyd can fight whoever and make it to ppv, unlike shane who fought collazo on boxing after dark. shane doesn't have that appeal like floyd does today, so in a way, he's doing what floyd's doing with oscar, going after the 2nd top draw in boxing right now near his weight class, to make his name bigger, because with all of shane's accomplishments, his name is not bigger than people like floyd mayweather jr. plus, floyd is undefeated, and people don't realize how much that gatti win got floyd noticed. he's been boxing on ppv every since that fight, and in the main event also. shane can't say the same, seeing how he fought collazo, who made it to the main event against hatton, and it was on regular hbo.

If you want to know what type of draw Mosley is, he was on the undercard of a Margarito fight. I'm not joking...

In an interview with ESPN, Floyd says if he decides to continue fighting after DLH he wouldn't fight Mosley since he's nothing but a sparring partner. He also mentioned that Mosley beat DLH twice and all he had to show for it was 3000 showing up to his fight with Collazo in February and Mosley made less than $2 million. It's pretty sad that Mosley can't draw flies to **** yet people call him a superstar...

Baldomir was the undisputed, lineal welterweight champion and he got paid $8 million to fight him. That's why he fought Baldomir.

Why would he fight a paper champion over the real champion? It's basic common sense...

Why would floyd duck Margarito to go up to 154 and fight de la hoya?

De La Hoya is bigger, stronger, faster, better fighter,

What happened to margarito when he was at 154? oh yeah, he lost to rodney Jones and Daniel Santos.

Now if Mayweather fought Margarito at that time, i dont belive he would have been a free agent, he may still have been contracted to Bob Arum, and of course, floyd didnt want that, he wanted the de la hoya fight, and de la hoya would never work with arum at the time.

Which meant mayweather had to drop arum to get the de la hoya fight,

Arum knew this, and offered mayweather 8 million, and we dont know what stipulations and options where connected to the 8 million offer, you think Arum is gonna offer mayweather 8 million to beat his fighter and then leave him?

Arum made mayweather the offer because he knew mayweather was NOT gonna take it, which is why afterwards he said the 8 million was ONLY A ONE TIME OFFER FOR THAT MOMENT, not a permanent offer,

In other words, mayweather could fight marg, beat him and take 8 million and jeporidize the de la hoya fight,

OR

forget Margarito be a free agent, make 8 million for fighting baldomir then make another 10 million guranteed plus PPV Sales for de la hoya,

Which is exactly what floyd did.

And thats why he didnt fight Margarito
