I like UFC. Boxing is losing no fans to UFC. If anything wrestling loses fans to UFC. The most recognizable fighter is probably Shamrock and guess what? He used to wrestle.

I was listening to Jim Rome the other day while driving into the 305 and he had Teddy Atlas on. One question that was asked was, "Is the UFC killing boxing?". He answered in a very suprising manner, he said...yes. The reasons he gave wasn't because the UFC is better or that they are more skilled. He made a great point about the ORGANIZATION of the UFC.

See the major problem with boxing has been the corruption and lack of organization from state to state. Alot of people, including presidential candidate Sen. John McCain have come forward and said there needs to be a national governing body to control boxing. I couldn't agree more.

Hate or love the UFC, Dana White has done an incredible job rebuilding the UFC when he first bought in the early 90's. It was on it's last legs and he basically turned it around by his marketing and the fact that it was something new so he could start from scratch. He didn't have these old factions like Arum and King flexing there muscles and stopping him at every turn. On the contrary, everyone thought it was a flash in the pants and when he started to regulate the weight classes, most thought it would die but he actually lagitamized the sport.

I think boxing could learn from the UFC and specifically Dana White in how they have marketed and organized it. Boxing will always be alive and strong but I have no doubt that alot of the fan base that might have only watched boxing has shifted to the UFC and other forms of MMA.

I'm a boxing die hard, always will be but I would love to see DLH legacy not only include his greatness as a boxer but to take over and clean up boxing once King and Arum are long gone.

I should also say that on a consistant basis boxing is much more exciting to me. Dan Patrick just said he found UFC much more interesting. I turned that **** off.
