Vitali Klitschko vs. Nicolay Valuev: Who Wins?

A reliable source has reported today that Vitali Klitschko's and Nicolay Valuev's management are in serious discussions to set up a fight for later this year. Both Vitali and Nicolay are saying they want to do it.

If this happens, will a rusty Vitali be able to defeat Russian Giant?

I think Vitaly wins this one easy.. Valuev may be the more active boxer of the two, but Vitali has been in there with the like of lennonx lewis and almost won. A Giant with no skills probably poses no threat, I would bet on Vitali by TKO

that fight would be a one sided joke in vitali's favor assuming he's 75% of his former self. I doubt very much about this talk. what good would it do vitali now that chagaev exposed the giant? none

Vitali supposedly wants the fight as his warmup for the Peter/Maskaev winner. The source reports Don King wants it too (he's extended his contract with Valuev until Dec 31/07)

It would be a big moneymaker in Europe, and that's the real reason it may happen.

Unless Vitali is severely out of shape or reinjures himself durning the fight, I dont see anyway Valuev could beat him. Valuev is really adverse to fighting guys taller than 6'3".

Valuev lost to a guy that was a foot shorter and 100 pounds lighter. How could he even contend with a guy that was almost his size

If it happens, it will be much better that Vitali choosing an lesser known, weaker opponent for his warmup. If its fought in Moscow, it will be a major event, since they're both very popular.

This would be a one sided execution for Vitali, seems to me like valuev is trying to cash in and make some money now hes lost the record he was going for
