To be fair this is not exactly true by the time he fought in the US he'd started to believe his own hype and once he left Brendon ingle he went all to **** and was not half the fighter he had been previously. He made us Brits look ****** because he was great then when he fought overthere he'd bought what everone told him and just believed his power would get him out of trouble everytime. So i understand why the american think he's **** but if he wasn't such an arrogant big head he truely could have been great.

This thread has nothing to do with the Brits, we are discussing Prince Hamhead, this guy was beating on newspaper boys and cab drivers in Brendon, to his credit he beat some names past their primes and the moment he stepped up his comp, a fight he was highly favored to win, after ducking the hell out of a fight with marquez, this hype gets exposed......and effectively like a good dog with its tail between his legs goes into retirement....now whats up with that?Comment

90% of the time he was put down because ofGet the **** outa here lads. hahaha he peek a booed my ass. He stood there and waved your man in, and the proceeded to catch him clean the whole fight. In 12 rounds I remember about one or two occasions when Naz (who was supposed to be the supreme boxer) caught Barrera!
Lets not re write what happened to your hero guys. He was supposed to beat a supposedly washed up, one dimensional Marco Antonio Barrera in the weight class were he was king. What happened...........he got a ****ing boxing lesson from a man who was considered a one dimensional slugger!
PRINZE NASEEM- fought ****ing stiffs until he got in with Kevin Kelley. Great fight, he got flattened a few times before he Ko'd Kelley. Then he goes on to the Great Augie Sanchez and once again gets put down while looking suspect the whole fight. He comes through again. Then he steps up to world class....BARELY LANDS A TELLING PUNCH ON BARRERA!!!!
PRINZE NAZ= ONE OF THE BIGGEST ****ING MYTHS TO EVER APPEAR IN BOXING! RIP NAZ, YOU GOT FOUND OUT AGAINST BARRERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
his bad balance
ive never seen naz hurtComment

In general, what you've just said is no more true than the people you are criticising for 'rewriting history' in order to 'praise their hero' Naz.Comment

No matter what he was or how good he was. Barrera was better! He lost to one of the best boxers of our generation.Comment

oh man barrera schooled that ass. He showed the world what a bum naz was. Barrera showed class and skills that night.Comment

Naz always looked good against inferior opponents...when he stepped up to Kelvin Kelly he was flattened several times.Kelly at the time was at the end of a good career...but still gave Naz as good as he got.
Naz when finally fighting someone in their prime...got his ass kicked. And being the heartless punk he always was,has not had the stones to come back.
His life outside the ring has been indicative of his fights in the ring...just a punk, who when he could over-power a lesser fighter, made himself believe he was great. But when faced with adversity,he showed his colors.
Sorta like Mike Tyson...a bully at his core.Comment

Why is it that Barerra showed the world 'what a bum' Naz was? If Naz was such a bum, then surely Barerra would've knocked him out, got him stopped, took him out of the ring on a stretcher. The fact that a Barerra in the absolute top form comfortably out fought and out-pointed Naz should lead us to praising Barerra, not deriding Naseem.Comment

Thats what i think. Id never say Naz was a bum because he was very good. Barrera was just better. Why is it that Barerra showed the world 'what a bum' Naz was?
