Couldn't have said it better. Naz was so overhyped it isn't even funny.Get the **** outa here lads. hahaha he peek a booed my ass. He stood there and waved your man in, and the proceeded to catch him clean the whole fight. In 12 rounds I remember about one or two occasions when Naz (who was supposed to be the supreme boxer) caught Barrera!
Lets not re write what happened to your hero guys. He was supposed to beat a supposedly washed up, one dimensional Marco Antonio Barrera in the weight class were he was king. What happened...........he got a ****ing boxing lesson from a man who was considered a one dimensional slugger!
PRINZE NASEEM- fought ****ing stiffs until he got in with Kevin Kelley. Great fight, he got flattened a few times before he Ko'd Kelley. Then he goes on to the Great Augie Sanchez and once again gets put down while looking suspect the whole fight. He comes through again. Then he steps up to world class....BARELY LANDS A TELLING PUNCH ON BARRERA!!!!
PRINZE NAZ= ONE OF THE BIGGEST ****ING MYTHS TO EVER APPEAR IN BOXING! RIP NAZ, YOU GOT FOUND OUT AGAINST BARRERA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Decline?!?!?!? He was in the prime of his career and undefeated! LOL, I know you like the guy but he was a flash in the pants, thats all. You can't even mention a legend like Barerra in the same sentence as a taxi driver like Naz.Comment

Whatever point you have, you are making it ****** and looking ignorant.
Barerra WAS a tremendous fighter, certainly the better on the night and he IS a legend. But claiming Naz to be 'overhyped' when I'm almost certain that you only saw one of his fight...thus not knowing what hype there was to live up to, nor how he had done so previously. Furthermore, its commonly accepted and fairly widespread information that Naz was on his way out when he fought Barerra. He'd lost his love for Boxing. Was not training as much, was struggling in fights, wasnt as dedicated or commited and was relying on his power to win him fights. Its not hard to find the information that backs this up.Comment

why should naz be praised, infront of so many others, that failed to reach the highest level, yeah he looked good in fights, but the question is, was the opponents of high caliber..??
naz deserves every bit of criticism he gets, with all his ****iness and arrogance, he got boxing lesson from barrera and after that nothing... you would have thought that he had the desire to revenge his defeat, but apparently not.. all his flashy entrances, all his show boating against b and c level fighters and all his talk about being the best, in the end was nothing but bs..
naz was a very good fighter, but he was and never will be a great one..Comment

You can call my points ignorant and ****** all you want if it makes you feel better. FACT is, the guy was undefeated going into that fight and still in the prime of his career age wise. Now weather he wasn't training or didn't have the interest in boxing is a completely different argument. That has to do more with heart than weather or not he was still, physically, in the prime of his career as a boxer.Whatever point you have, you are making it ****** and looking ignorant.

Thats like making the argument that IF Lennox Lewis trained harder or took every fight seriously he would have been the greatest heavyweight of all time. Guess what, HE DIDN'T and thats the bottom line. Don't give me excuses about how Naz was feeling or how un-motivated he was. The reality is when he came across the pond to the good ole' US of A and fought stepped up opponents he either struggled against fighters past their prime, or got served by a legend he had no reason even being in the same ring with. So go and have some cus-cus and tea with your boy Naz and talk about how "great" he COULD have been.Comment

If Naz is **** then so is Tyson.
Naz got picked off by Barrera but did Barrera go for Naz like he did Marquez? Errrr NEH? He was a scared little ***** hiding behind both hands up. Everybody knows Barrera cant stand with Naz.
The reason that fight looks so bad is cos Naz doesnt really attempt to do anything. Even in the dying minutes he doesnt really come at Barrera.
And the September 11th thing did affect Naz's career dramatically.
You guys hate on the Naseem's in boxing but its guys like him that kept boxing alive. Now hes gone look what has happened to boxing. Are you all happy now?Comment

Milk, you just called me ignorant and ****** and I responded to every single one of your false excuses. The argument of "what if" is NO argument.
Was Naz fast? Yes. Was Naz flashy? Yes. Was Naz charismatic? Yes. But unfortuantly for him that doesn't make you a great fighter. You have to beat the best in order ot BE the best and he never even came close. I never once called him a BUM, I just said he was overhyped, which he was. He could have fought Barerra a hundred times and one hundred of them would have ended the same as the first.
The only reason that Barerra didn't KO him was because Naz is one of those slick fighters that won't stand toe 2 toe with you. Much like a Macho Camacho, so it's extreamly hard to ko the guy.Comment
