Who should Ruslan Chagaev fight in his first defense of the WBA title?

How the hell did "my biggest career win was over Kevin Mcbride, Mike Mollo" and "TOS" get ranked so high? DK must have some influence over the WBA because these two fighters haven't done nearly enough to warrant their restective rankings.

I picked Tony Thompson....i think it would be an interesting fight and Thompson deserves a shot.....just as much as say Chagaev did and Briggs did and Maskaev did......need I say more.

Yes, although I would prefer Holyfield for Chagaev's first defense, I'd like to see Thompson get a title shot soon. He deserves it more that a lot of boxers who have recent losses on their records. Tony just keeps on winning fights, I think he's underrated by a lot of people.

Thompson's one of the most boring hw's out there at the moment; why anyone would want to see him get a shot if beyond me. Fighters like Thompson are not at all good for the sport because in boxing, getting the "w" is not enough. The way the fighter gets the "W" is what really counts.

I agree Thompson is not the most exciting boxer to watch, but he's won 25 fights in a row, and so I think he deserves an opportunity to win a title before he gets too old.

That and he is a very good boxer.He is a Chris Byrd type guy and boring or not he works with what he has well and wins.

Raesaad, why are you so quick to write off Holyfield? He seems to have found a 'spark' to resume his career. Plus, Holyfield is no way at all done, the way Ali was late in his career. Actually, I think Holyfield makes this a very tough fight for Chagaev and goes the distance.

why dont he just have an EASY defence against AUDLEY HARRISON...

remember his chin is made of glass and chagaev can have 90% of the purse.
