Ricardo Lopez - the 2nd boxer surpassing marciano to retire underfeated

One of a select few fighters to retire undefeated as a world champion. Lopez, who fought on many PPV undercards, retired with a 51-0-1 (38 KOs) record.

this guy surpassed rocky marciano's 49-0 boxing record. only thing is that lopez was a flyweight. i just saw it in boxrec wikipedia.

    his record : http://www.boxrec.com/print.php?boxer_id=000521

Yup...Lopez is the greatest Minimumweight of all time. Problem is, most boxing fans dont follow the division much. Calderon is the best, imo, today.
I'm surprised you're just hearing about him, since you are pretty good with boxing history. The guy was a badass.

I knew it from Guiness book of record.

Mayweather still have a chance to be nearer to ATG if he goes 51-0 or the same That is 4 fights away for him and he still in his prime now with the age of 30 something

if mayweather goes 51-0 that would be total mayhem. lol.

if he beats dlh on may 5th he will go 38-0. i just hope pb doesnt retire after this fight. he's still young to continue.

But Floyd will retire after this fight so it won't happen.

Floyd wants to fight Shane Mosely after this fight. It is one of his goals.

another one is to be champ in 5 weight class from 154-130 and his is doing it now even if he lost to DHL I think he want to be 154 champ

I seriously doubt that, as Delusional as Floyd is sometimes, he has to know that his legacy as an all time great would always be debatable, IMHO he needs to fight a hand full of the best fighters in the ww division before going out to cement his legacy.

beating DHL is hitting 3 birds with one stone for Mayweather why?

                  1. beating DHL
                  2. champ at 154 with the WBC belt which he Mayweather hold highly at it
                  3. open doors to fight Mosely

You can argue hes one of the most underrated fighters in history because of what weight he fought at. He had excellent technique.
