COTTO-JUDAH tickets STILL arent selling great.

You can still hand select your seats.

I thought this was a sure sell out, now i would be surprised if they get 15,000 in there.

What happened to Cottos "hardcore" latino following, and Judahs "cult" brooklyn fans?

I really wanted that electric crowd as well. Usually makes the fight much more exciting.

Well at least they are doing Countdown to Cotto-Judah to promote the fight.

As for Judah's fans, some of them he lost when Mayweather beat his ass. Many of my friends are now bigger fans of Floyd than Judah. I can't say for Brooklyn though since I'm not from that part of NY.

I think Judah lost alot of respect from NYC people after his two flagrant fouls.

Why would they do that, when its a "hottly anticipated showdown" and "a sure sell out"???

I dont think it would effect it at all. Its to far afterward. Unless they give it some good advertising DURING the DLH-MYTHR fight

              But still

Trinidad sold out the Garden in like 5 minutes.

This is a very popular Puerto Rican fighter, fighting RIGHT BEFORE the Puertorican day parade.

JUDAHS fans shouldn't have anything to do with it...

I wouldn't say thats why he lost fans. I'd say because he trashed "Pretty Girl" (as he said) so much, and then trashed Carlos Baldomir verbally that his only option to save face was to dominate both. Instead, he got the **** beat out of him. Twice. :P

I still think the fight will do well. If they don't come out for Judah they will come out for Cotto.

                  I wouldn't worry. We're still in April.

Demand for tickets to Miguel Cotto's welterweight title defense against Zab Judah -- the card has been dubbed "X-Plosive" -- on June 9 (HBO PPV) at Madison Square Garden has been strong. So strong, in fact, that it is the Garden's fastest sales start since the first Lennox Lewis-Evander Holyfield heavyweight championship fight in 1999. "Miguel Cotto has developed a tremendous following in New York, and Brooklyn's Zab Judah will have thousands of supporters," MSG vice president Joel Fisher said. "This should be a memorable night of boxing at the Garden."
