Thats exactly what he is. He talks much less than most of the other fighters in the top 10 P4P.

Its probably a pride thing in terms of the parity of purses. Kessler should offer to take 45% if he actually wants for the fight to

Who might he be? There hasn't been any "champion" at 168lbs with the WBA and WBC belts before Kessler.

the sports too much like a business now. I'm actually losing interest due to all the mismatches, non unifications, guys pricing themselves out or ducking the real fights.
Heres hoping Frank Warren, Don King and all the sanctioning bodies presidents are all involved in one huge plane crash....

I was wondering. What do you JC fans think would be a reasonable payment if they were to fight on neutural ground?

I have to agree with this; Joe is not yet in a position to demand equal pay against these guys, even though right now I think he'd edge all three in the actaul fight.

              60-40 for Calzaghe.

55-45 in Wales, 65-35 in Denmark.

Kessler needs Calzaghe more than Calzaghe needs Kessler.

That's only partly true. Kessler has more time, if he misses this fight HBO will show him beat a few second tier fighters up, then eventually they'll feed him to an American star like Taylor or Dawson. He can take that route if he doesn't eventually fight Calzaghe, whereas time may run out on Calzaghe ever getting any of these fights.

That may be true, and Kessler seems the closest thing to the second best SMW from what we've seen, so if Calzaghe beats him now (Which he will, I'd bet my house on it) there'd be no questions as to who was the best SMW during this era.

But that being said, Calzaghe has Hopkins, Taylor, Wright and a few more at light heavy, these guys can't keep having near-misses with Calzaghe forever.

Cricket was delayed, only 38 overs now, disgrace.

Yeah but Ottke was rated number one in the divison, JC number 2, even thought neither had the 'ring belt'.

And ottke had the better belts, thus why he was widley seen as the number one in the division.

Only 5% difference for a uk or danish fight? The reason why I think 50-50 is fair, is because its in the uk. I would agree on 60-40 on neutral ground, and i guess 70-30 wouldnt be unfair for JC to go to denmark. Thats why I belive 50-50 is fair if he wants it at home. He would have to pay alot more if he want taylor or hopkins to travel.
