All major sports are now using instant replay of some sorts except Major League Baseball. Why not boxing IMO if they do it in between rounds and reverse calls that are clearly proven wrong then why not have it?
INSTANT REPLAY > we need it in the sport !

yeah 15 rounds again would be sweet.. less decisions, but bad side is more brain damage. but times change, why ride in a wagon carried by horse to the store when you could just drive there in a car?Comment

of course, its just a tool to help to make the right decision when things are unclear, what the problem with that. im not saying that judges should do a quick review each round if they are having problems with the scoring, just in special cases like the barrera/marquez fight. that was clearly a knockdown on the replay but on the moment it happen i also thought it was a slip.Comment

It's not a bad idea if properly implemented. The problem is, it won't be properly implemented.
New Jersey adopted the policy - but it calls for the promoter of said event to provide all of the equipment.
You will also see a severe abuse of the policy until further guidelines are implemented. The commission itself won't replay a questionable call - it will be up to a fighter's corner to file an immediate protest. That leads to corners taking advantage, questioning even clean knockdowns, just so their fighter can get a little extra rest/recovery time.
Also, corners will be looking to have every (non-ten count) stoppage overturned, at least anything short of their guy being knocked out called.
Until the sport is federally regulated and not self-policed, I'm not in favor of instant replay.Comment

True if they have a set of rules for replay it would be good, but like you said Jake if there wasn't any strict rules people would take advantage of it. I think one replay for each fighter would be good enough. It's not a bad idea if properly implemented. The problem is, it won't be properly implemented.
