and he even gave a knockdown to Whitaker when clearly their feet got tangled....

Man please that was right hand that floored oscar, nobody feet got tangled. and you right it was in the rules, but it still was some BS! Oscar lost that fight too bro, he didn't land nothing. What was effective about him that day? Nothing.. Just because you throw alot of punches at air, shadowboxing doesn't mean that should win you the fight.

yeah the feet got tangled a bit, but he didn't fall because of the feet. it was actually the left hook that staggered Oscar though when I slowed it down.

Oscar clearly lost to Quartey, but the Whitaker fight was close, in which oscar still did'nt do enough to beat an aging Pernell. Oscar did get robbed of Trinidad and Mosley though...

Well I just watched it again, and I saw a clear win for Quartey. I had it 8 rounds to 4. I can see a draw, but I find it hard to believe Oscar won the 6 rounds it would have taken for a victory.

The first time I saw it I think I had it a close win for Oscar. Go figure. He was either not prepared to box and move, or he just had the wrong gameplan. Standing right in front of Quartey all fight was a bad idea. Quartey deserves this win.

I laugh when people say Oscar clearly beat Quartey because of the 12th.

Like that takes away from the fact that Oscar did hardly anything from rounds 7 to 11, and even in the 6th when he dropped Ike, still lost the round, as Ike dropped Oscar and did the better work for the remainder of the round.

If Oscar deserved the decision over Ike, it was by the skin of his teeth.

It was a close fight. But, Quartey didn't do the things he said he was going to do in that fight. Quartey talked so much **** about knocking Oscar out. Quartey said he knew he couldn't win on points in Vegas, but he didn't try and win by knock out.

well if you weren't penalized so heavily from Knockdown then I could see your point, but the fact of the matter is that he would have lost by 3 rds if it weren't for that knockdown. It was huge swing in the fight, but I still feel like he was robbed because he was clearly ahead. I think it was a robbery...
