But he's been very impressive at cruiserweight as well, and many are of the opinion that he has the ability to make an impact at heavyweight. I've heard he has a problem making weight at cruiserweight, and I imagine at 6'3'' he's a natural heavyweight, and so that's where he'll likely be after another fight or two at cruiserweight.
Haye has actually won two other fights at heavyweight: a first round KO of Valery Semishkur in 2004 and a third round TKO of Garry Delaney in 2005. Both these opponents had winning records.
He's only age 26 and has shown excellent knockout power. I think he'll create some excitement in the heavyweight division whether he wins a title or not.Last edited by Steelhammer86; 04-28-2007, 06:54 PM.Comment

The heavyweight division recently improved a little more, with former Olympic Silver Medalist Sultan Ibragimov becoming the new WBO titleholder.Comment

there are a few guys that look at least fairly good coming up, i am not fully convinced with that povtekin yet but if he can ko barrett early he could really move up the division and have a title fight. as a brit i also hope that haye can get the cruiser weight title and make a move up to heavy.Comment

There's some interesting heavyweight fights coming up this fall:
Vitali vs. McCline
Byrd vs. Povetkin
Chambers vs. Brock
Ibragimov vs. Holyfield
Peter vs. Maskaev
I read that Valuev's fight with Bergeron on September 29 has been cancelled (I see it's disappeared from boxrec's schedule) and his people are in discussions with Wladimir Klitschko. There were previous discussion about Wlad fighting Rahman, but that's not going to happen now.
It would have been better if Wlad had fought a unification match when Valuev had the title, but such a matchup would still be interesting. I wonder if Wladimir could become the first to KO Valuev...Comment

Agreed, I think if Wlad can't unify anytime soon, I would want him to give Valuev a title shot. And I really think he would TKO Valuev, I can see Valuev just eating too many straight rights, could never see him going down though, he has iron chin. I think with the fights being made, the HW division is on it's way to glory. There's some interesting heavyweight fights coming up this fall:
