According to UK media outlet Guardian Unlimited, a deal for a unification bout between WBO champ Joe Calzaghe and WBC/WBA champ Mikkel Kessler can be struck next week when Frank Warren meets with Kessler's promoter, Mogens Palle, to iron out a deal for the two fighters to collide in September. a lil bit of a calzhage rant. if joe and warren were interested in fighting the best this whole time, how come he only has one title? after 20 defenses? I mean come on. Bernard held every single belt the MW division had to offer and Joe is stuck with one. I dont care how many former champs you beat or w.e. Tell mw how many champs you beat and how many times. tell me how many world recognized great fighters you beat. Joe only did it once.Comment

If I was a betting man, I'd bet on Calzaghe since his work-rates almost double Kesslers. But who knows, Kesslers not going to take this fight easy at all. He's going to come in this fight in the best shape mentally and physically. So, Calzaghe shouldn't hold back in training, he's in the fight for his life.Comment
