yeah, it does seem like margarito is laying low a bit after being called out by williams something like a year to a year and a half ago.

i agree with the consensus here that margarito is a bit overrated as a power puncher and wears and tears more than taking out an opponent with one punch.

paul "the punisher" williams, i don't see him as an unbeatable force. his height for his weight is a huge factor in his success so far. still, it will be fun seeing how people will deal with his height at welter. let's hope for some good match ups.

He throws that hideous Mexican Uppercut (my term).
He starts it from too far out, it it all arm, it is pushed upward in a sweeping motion instead of turning the body behind it to throw it with leverage, it almost always misses and ends way up in the air.
I call it the Mexican Uppercut, because alot of Mexican fighters throw it like this, and I cant recall anyone from another country launching it like this,

ask manuel gomez,kermit cintron,randall and santos how much power margarito has.....there is a reason gayweather called him high risk low reward...if margarito didn't have that ko power gayweather would have fought margarito...but too high a risk...he will easily beat williams then zab and cotto....all 3 black guys cannot compete against margarito....and it'll proven this year....so start writing your list of excuses...because the "unskilled" margarito is about to ko these "skilled" boxers.....

Isn't that how Larry Holmes used to throw his right uppercut? I think it was him. He would start with his arm behind him and then sort of whip it in a pendulum motion.

I'm sorry dude but those are not top tier fighters. Manuel '****ing' gomez?? 28-12-0 Manuel Gomez. Margarito has the WBO belt for ages and can't fight one former world champion in any weight class, that is pathetic.

"all 3 black guys cannot compete against margarito". That statement is uncalled for. But I guess Rodney Jones and Larry Dixon were black guys that had enough skill to beat Margarito.

When i watched Margarito-Cintron,Teddy Atlas said Tonys chin isnt the best,hes been down a couple of times,so i guess his chin aint up 2 par with his strength
