    The power of Magarito??

Why do people rate his power so high? The way some people talk on this board he has 1-punch ko power;like he's the george forman or tommy hearns of the welterweight div. I've only seen two of his fights (cintron & gomez) but I just don't see a devastating puncher. I",m in iraq now so I don't have access to youtube and can't download fights, but I read that he was mediocre in the clottey fight. Some people here even believe he can KO de la hoya and mosley. Unbelivable.

So to those who rate Magarito so high please tell me which fight I should watch to see the power of magarito and I'll download when I'm back in the states.

Thats the one, good post,Margarito has alot of physical strength, but Margarito easily gets frustrated,i think Williams style will frustrate him alot

I think people give him credit for his power, because of his size, he is a large welterweight. His style is more of a swarmng type, and almost every shot is a powershot, so people say he has great punching power.

Its above average for sure, but not as dynamic as his fans say.

Yeah i agree Margarito is strong but hes not a lights out type of puncher. He's a volume puncher he just beats you down from the 3rd-4th round on.He starts slow and picks it up around half way through the first 6 and starts to walk guys down.He didn't look good in the Clottey fight but he was rusty and started later than he normally does.He couldn't ko Clottey because after Clottey hurt his hands trying to back Margarito off him he went into survival mode and covered up the rest of the fight. If Clottey hadn't of hurt his hands he probably would have been ko'd later in the fight.

So which Magarito fight do you recommend I watch?
Do you see him knocking out mosley, de la hoya or any of the top welterweights. I just don't see it.

Watch the lujan and santos fights i think you can get a good understanding about the type of fighter he really is.He wouldnt ko oscar or shane both those guys have rock solid chins and i would pick both guys over him.He stands a chance to ko alot of top 10 welters out there though.Hes just a good top 3 welter imo.He has alot of things good about him and some not so good things. He's got great endurance a pretty good chin and good power but hes also abit slow and lacks defense.
