if floyd fought cotto, margarito and shane instead of gatti, mitchell, and corley... he'd have a better resume.... but then he might not be undefeated anymore either...

there is nobody on PBF's resume that's close to MAB or morales in terms of greatness...
I think Morales was way past his best but i cant really disagree with you about MAB.

Common sense dictates that undefeated doesn't AUTOMATICALLY mean great. You don't need to be Einstein to figure it out. All common sense actually. Ali had defeats so did Hagler, SRL and other greats.

Instead of basing greatness on being undefeated.

      Base it on resume.

And we both know a solid resume is undeniable.

      Wait. Correction.

      ONLY DUMBTARDS DENY RESUME.
I dont know enough about Pac's earlier opponents to go in detail about his resume.I think PBF is the best fighter out there but i suppose thats for another thread so fair point.

But the question was, who has the BETTER RESUME.

Ans we both know the answer.
What I was trying to say is that Floyd's resume from those you listed is very comparable. There is no easy winner.

Pacquiao was only able to beat Morales coming off of losses. He didn't beat Marquez either. His only big, clear win is against MAB...

I figured it was already made apparent that Pac, MAB, and Morales all have better resumes than Floyd.

erik morales, barrera, and pacquiao all do. DLH does. Hopkins arguably does, although he never had a big win until tito. evander holyfield has one of the best rsume's you'll ever see. Also, sam peter (wlad and toney twice soon to be maskaev) will have a better one before hes done with, as will jermain taylor (too many big fights to be made such as miranda, pavlik, winky, joe calzaghe, kessler).
also pbf had an amazing record up until may 2004. since then hes only had 5 fights, no real amazing opposition, but give him credit for judah and baldo.

So only a few fighters currently have better resumes than PBF, but why do so many people complain about his opposition?

Probably because he likes to call himself the greatest of all time. And since there are quite a few more fighters that have better records PRESENT time then it makes him look real bad.

Someone said Mosley. I dont think his stacks up much better than Floyd's especially if you dont count the people he lost too (Forrest & Wright).

                      Mosley Significant Wins (Mayweathers):
                      1. Oscar De La Hoya I (Diego Corrales)
                      2. Oscar De La Hoya II (Jose Luis Castillo II)
                      3. Fernando Vargas I (Jose Luis Castillo I)
                      4. Fernando Vargas II (Zab Judah)
                      5. Philip Holliday (Genaro Hernandez)
                      6. Jesse James Leija (Jesus Chavez)
                      7. John John Molina (Phillip N'dou)
                      8. Luis Collazo (Carlos Baldomir)
                      9. Antonio Diaz (Auturo Gatti)
                      10. Wilfredo Rivera (DeMarcus Corley)

(Note if you take out the wins before he was Floyds current age you remove Collazo, both Vargas fights & 1 De La Hoya Fight.)
Alot of the guys meantioned like Hopkins put in their work post 30 years old.
