Something must be said for Dawson that he can beat legitimate fighters like Harding and Adamek with his jab and left hand alone. Adamek was a proven tough guy with skills and size and their fight was surprisingly one sided.

Johnson doesn't have much of a chance (in my opinion) of beating Dawson. He'd eat the jab, he'd be frustrated by the size and quick hands, he'd taste the power, thus he'd be discouraged in throwing more leather (like some of Chad's previous opponents).

Kessler may be the most skilled from 160 on up. His combos are beautiful. Johnson fights every second and his fights are always good as a result. Miranda, Taylor, Wright, Hopkins, Woods, Calzaghe...you are missing out if you don't watch these guys.

There were some fights in King Roy's prime that made you want to sleep as well.

Roy was at times very reluctant and very boring right Super?

        Agree completely...

I believe Paul Briggs may eventually wear Chad down, Dawson is still the favorite but Briggs would be the type of fight where we would find out what he is made of.

I thought it was a case of Adamek being confused and mesmorized by speed. When he pressed the action he did fine. The first significant punch he landed knocked Dawson down. He was reluctant to engage the whole fight though, forcing it to be boring for the most part.

I'd love to see Dawson get in a fight with Glen Johnson, someone who will make him fight.
Dawson is not boring..... He is going to have a great career watch and see.He is a boxer puncher with admittingly questionable chin but has shown great heart and composure as well.....He is a longtime Champ for years to come watch and see.

Roy was not as boring as this cat. Chad is not really comparable to Roy, even though he would probably beat him currently.

Chad is way too hesitant. I dislike seeing a fighter touch jabs with another fighter as if giving a light-hearted high five. To each their own I guess.

Johnson beat Tarver once (close fight, either way). He could beat Dawson, assuming he has not aged too much since then. Johnson gives everyone problems.

Dawson has wins over some good fighters...Harding, Adamek...but, he could be a RING top ten p4p and he would still be boring to me I'm sure. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt either way.

I rather him be hesitant now while he is still like what 24?He shows great patience fior a fighter his age already....as he gets more confident he will open up and stop holding back at times.....I think he is special.

When Dawson took that strap alot of people on this forum got excited about him - I haven't been able yet to share the same enthusiasm..

Some of the mags are talking about how nice of a kid he is and how it's held him up from finishing opponents in some situations.. That I don't appreciate.
