Earlier today, IBF flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan called out all super flyweight champions, stating his promoter Gary Shaw told him he cannot find any worthy opponents. According to Golden Boy Promotions matchmaker Eric Gomez, Darchinyan must not have been informed of an offer to face WBO super flyweight champion Fernando Montiel. "We offered a bout between Fernando Montiel and Vic Darchinyan," said Gomez, "and Gary Shaw turned it down. He said Darchinyan didn't want to fight Montiel." Gomez added that no terms were ever discussed and the network involved wouldn't be an issue. "HBO would OK the fight and Golden Boy Promotions wouldn't have a problem with the fight taking place on Showtime," stated Gomez. Montiel has recently commented that he wants a release from his Golden Boy contract, but Gomez stated "we are working things out" and added that Montiel has said 'Yeah, I'll fight Darchinyan.'"

at this point, VIC is a bigger name than Montiel and brings more excitement to the table, so since you dont know any of the details on the $$$$, dont talk **** out of ur ass.

VIC said he will fight Montiel or any other champion, but at this point in his career (already 31) VIC needs to have decent (not incredible) paydays. He obviously was not gonna get decent money with Montiel's people (money hungry GPB).

and for the record, VIC WILL KO Montiel before 10.
