Buut, Calzaghe still wins that one on workrate alone. THAT is Calzaghe's fight, his legend fight, Hopkins, because he'd be battered and bruised come the end and get real cred.

Calzaghe wasn't considered the best in his division until he beat Lacy last year. At the time Calzaghe fought Lacy, Calzaghe was ranked #1 and Lacy #3 with Kessler at #2. It took about 9 years for Calzaghe to fight another champion at 168. Kessler did it in just his third title defense. Calzaghe has the RING title, but he's not undisputed because many people feel Kessler is a big threat to him...

It took Lacy that long to get himself credibility to be a viable opponent for Joe. Because when Joe beat Eubank and owned the division for years to come Lacy didnt even exist. And when he did box him we know what happened next. If Lacy was available right after Joe beat Eubank....Joe would have murdered Lacy even easier.
And yes Kessler is a threat to him, but why not, a worthy challenger always comes along eventually. Joe has been dealing with worthy challengers whenever they came along at 168. They just happened not to be Hopkins and JT and Tarver because they were in different weights. Hes been at 168 dealing with business and now he wants another challenge.

That must be why he was a huge underdog to Jeff Lacy...

He was an underdog in a few peoples minds...and i mean a few because...again a few people try and always underestimate him. Joe proved people shouldnt doubt him. The manner in which he beat him showed that there is no reason to doubt him.

He's an italian warrior and he's a cold blooded killer who never stops throwing. Something most fighters can't do, is keep up with calzaghes stamina. Dude, ****ing jogs like every single moment of every single day. His stamina is unmatched, and his weakness probably is his defense but has already shown he can take a punch.

Now, the story changes. Alot of you people on this forum swear Kessler will kill Calzaghe. Kind of like how people thought jeff lacy was going to do it aswell... hahaha, I guess people who thought kessler is going to destroy joe aren't going to be shocked when joe is the one who does it
