UFC is fun to watch though. But it does not compare to boxing.

Look, boxing is in my blood, have been doing it since I was 13 but you fail to address one issue. MMA fighters are incredible wrestlers, IF the fight goes to the ground, it's over for a non trained boxer. I mean you have to know how to defend against locks, holds and strikes.

It's much harder to KO someone than to take someone down. It's a really ****** argument on both sides, just two different sports. Boxing is more pure in what it does.

Its kinda sad how the MMA fighters think differently. I'd hate to see one of these fights take place .

lmao actually i'd love to see Mayweather / jones / or pACman bust one of these dudes up.

VIC DARCHINYAN would do it lol.. He'd take a MMA fight in a second.
Most good head kickers set their head kicks up. They either end a combination with a head kick or they bait you with nasty leg kicks to set up a surprise head kick. CroCop is a master at this.

About Jones; in the mid-90s, when he was in his prime, Ralph Gracie repeatedly called him out. He offered Jones $1 million to show and $1 million for EVERY minute the fight lasted(no matter who won). Ralph Gracie, though a pioneer of MMA, is not considered anywhere near a top-level MMA fighter. Jones obviously never took him up on it.

this is about the most pointless arguement you could have...
I didn't know Penn had get defensive skills, lol. Floyd would pick him apart with his speed and lay his slows ass out. Don't even bring this crap up about Olympic Wrestlers. I've never seen wrestlers use great footwork and jabs in order to control the other fighter. A boxer would beat UFC fighters on jabs alone.

i 100% agree, but the opposit is true too.. PBF is not gonna beat BJ penn or even josh koshcheck... they will take him down first chance they get and after that, its all over... as someone else said, it much harder to KO someone than it is to take someone down...

My life isn't on this forum. I went out to eat BBQ with a friend that just came. I'll get to his post in a second.

this is so ridiculous. Do you honestly think Jones knows or gives a **** who Ralph Gracie is??
