Warren wants options on Froch, and Froch for the good of boxing wants nothing to do with Warren.

Froch would fight Calzaghe for free, he really would.

Even with no options if froch really would fight for free warren would bite his hand off he'd love havin ppl fight for nothing more profit for him. But again why doesn't Froch go after Kessler? He's got the tools to win and then calzaghe would have every reason to want that fight.

fighting Froch in Cardiff would just give the opportunity for a fight between the Soul Crew and however many come down from Nottingham. Calzaghe is on another planet to Froch and in reality i thing Froch SHOULD have been the opponent from Manfredo as they are on the same level.
Froch v Calzaghe would be a non-fight marred by trouble outside the ring IMHO

I think Hopkins was in his prime when he fought taylor 1st time, but thats up for discussion.

Who has the better resume?

Taylor : Winky Wright, Hopkins, Ouma, Spinks.

Calzaghe : Lacy, Reid, Eubank (was he in his prime? or did he take the fight at short notice? lol)

To take this back onto topic.

Joe Calzaghe wants to be known as name in the US, thats why he claims he wanted to fight Manfredo, a guy who he knew didnt belong in the same ring as him.

The HBO- Manfredo fight was a shambles,

The only way Joe can get respect by Amercians, and be a truly big name name in the US, Like Lennox lewis,

Is to go over and fight in the US, like other great british fighters have had to.

I agree mate but as i see it all of these big names are no win for him the americans will still talk him down.
1)He beats taylor he beat a middleweight.
2)He beats Hopkins he beats an over the hill fighter who lost to taylor
3)He beats kessler he beats another average european figher

Just like Warren's offers are so outragously low, that's he's sure to be "ducked" by any quality opposition.

Way Warren tries to do business, it's no wonder Calzaghe has had so few really meaningfull fights.
But they've made lots of money from easily pleased fans - so who's to argue with that.

I'm also a fan of froch but don't understand why he only targets calzaghe why doesn't he try and get a match against kessler? even if he has to do in in denmark? He's def got the skills to go there and knock him out which is what would need to happen then Joe couldn't ignore him and we have the biggest domestic fight since eubank benn?

Good point, i wouldnt mind a trip to Copenhagen for this, great place.
If he goes after Kessler, i feel by the time the fight happened, Calzaghe would be either retired or move up a weight. I honestly think froch wants the Calzaghe fight on his record. Because he wants to beat the best. Kessler will only fight Froch if he is forced to by WBC. My opinion.
