It would be pointless making this fight because EVERYBODY knows RJJ is past it. Jones in his prime would destroy Calzaghe every day of the week, fighting him 10 years later is pointless and proves nothing. Joe needs to fight Hopkins/Taylor or Winky to really prove himself, And he needs to fight them in America.

I guess this fight would've been okay if it was made instead of the Joe vs Manfredo one and for the same purposes (ie to make Joe a bigger American name). Its a bit pointless now.

IMO Jones would beat Calzaghe, you guys have to remember styles make fights and Calzaghe's style is perfect for Jones, that slapping a few times and moving side by side wont work against Roy Jones, Roy is still quick and has power and has fought at light heavyweight and heavyweight. Although I dont think this fight would happen but if it does Roy wins a decision.

This is a safe fight for Jones since I don't think Calzaghe has the power to KO Jones, I give Jones a chance winning this fight but I think Calzaghe will win this fight by UD.

The more ignorance I hear about Jones being the favourite in this fight (which, if its a general consensus on a boxing forum CERTAINLY will be amongst the general US public), the more I'd like to see Calzaghe take him on in July if he cant get the likes of Kessler, Taylor, Hopkins or Wright until the winter or 2008.
