Dawson is the most underdiscussed fighter on this forum. I mentioned this fight a few times myself, though no one else seemed to care. Dawson is the toughest possible opponent for Calzaghe. I'd love this.

And I HARDLY doubt Kesslers camp has more then 4 million to offer to taylor. Whats kesslers camp offering taylor? 2 million? What a ****ing joke
He got $4.3 million fighting Ouma in US, so it needs to be around $5 million to be a realistic offer.

My boy is Calzaghe and I feel that even 5 million is too low if you consider the fact that you are asking Jermain Taylor to cross the pond.

I think you put two seperate offers on the table if you are Warren/Dibella.

          1) Calzaghe comes to the States and is guaranteed an advantage on the overall purse, lets say (obviously I dont know the estimation of the gate which I believe to be much larger then 10 million buts lets just say the payout for both men is 10mil just as an example)) 6 million to Calzaghe and 4 Million for Taylor.

          Or

          2) Taylor comes to England/Wales and recieves the advantage in purse with 6 million going to Taylor and 4 million going to Calzaghe.

Also give the winner of the fight the 60-40 split in PPV sales and you see which side leans which way.

This sounds real simple and Im sure somehow is totally impossioble to pull off but the point is to put a couple different scenarios in place where if 1 fighter is asked to go into the lions den then they get a bit more of the loot and vice versa.

I will have to say that 4 million is not going to be enough for Taylor to leave the States and Waren should no this, keep in mind its a first offer though and if you know anything about sales you dont jump in and tell Dibella and Taylor your willing to give him 7 million (which I bet they would do) right off the bat-its ****** business and love Frank or hate Frank he is not dumb.

I think Taylor v. Calzaghe will happen and I believe you will see HBO find another date if the July date is not acceptable to Taylor and Lou.

I would love to see this fight. I think the fact that Calzaghe is an HBO fighter and Dawson is a Showtime fighter screws things up though. Calzaghe has an obligation to fight on HBO and all of their July dates are full.

Dawson would be a good opponent for Calzone, but he need to find some way to fight Kessler. He needs to become the man in his divison before he moves up in weight. Calzaghe/Kessler matchup would be the only way to solve that.

i think calzaghe vs dawson would be a good fight, but i would like to see dawson fight glen johnson first and joe fight Kessler first. i feel that dawson might beat calzaghe.

Calzaghe and Lacy are not just on hbo or showtime. Their on whatever channel pays them more to be on it. Showtime is the cheapo when it comes to boxing. Hbo, spends alot of doe to put on this shows. Lacy vs Calzaghe was on showtime, thats how I know neither of these fighters are on a certain channel. Hbo has more money then showtime.
