    Calzaghe vs Dawson

With Kessler and Taylor probably fighting each other, why doesn't Calzaghe go for this fight? Dawson's impressed lately and certainly in his last fight, and would give Calzaghe a stern test if not beat him. It also means an opportunity for Calzone to become a 2 weight champ and Dawson the opportunity to make a real statement by being the man to do what Lacy couldnt do

I can't see Calzaghe stepping up to Light Heavy for anyone but Hopkins at this stage.

kessler taylor would be a cool fight.

but im hearing more of a JONES-TAYLOR fight after spinks.

And I doubt Calzone is gonna wanna drop that belt. And Dawson would have trouble losing anymore weight, he's like a stick already.

But if Calzaghe is having trouble making weight then that would be a good fight

Warren: "I know Jermain wants to fight only the biggest fights and make the most money, just like Joe, and to do that we need to hold the fight over here where we can build on the record attendance Joe established last weekend. We will even provide a bit of home cooking to go along with the four million dollar purse and agree to have an American assigned to referee the fight."

However, word out of the US is that Taylor’s promoter Lou DiBella is having a face-to-face meeting with Morgens Palle, the promoter of WBC/WBA super-middleweight king Mikkel Kessler.

It would be a disaster for Calzaghe if the two hottest opponents out there for him fought each other instead.

I wouldnt say that it'd be a disaster for Calzaghe. If Taylor wins then it'll make his fight against Taylor bigger, especially if he wins. If Kessler wins, then it'll make him a genuinely big opponent for Calzaghe.

Effectively its just cutting down his opponenets into one truly world recognised credible opponents with no excuses (ie if Taylors wins, cant say he's too small. If Kessler wins, cant say he was unproven).

What WOULD be a disaster for Calzaghe would be if they face one another and then the winner decides that they dont need Calzaghe anymore. Also, Calzaghe fighting someone else who isnt a big name would just be ****ing annoying and disappointing.

How is 4 million not enough for taylor to fight for calzaghe? And don't bring up this **** that taylor was paid more for the winky fight. 4 mil is still a ****load of money to just sit there and reject. And I HARDLY doubt Kesslers camp has more then 4 million to offer to taylor. Whats kesslers camp offering taylor? 2 million? What a ****ing joke
