CLEANEST Fighters vs. DIRTIEST Fighters (past and present)

We know who the dirty ones are..

So, who are the guys in Boxing that foul the least and fight clean?..

When is the last time you remember Oscar De La Hoya having a point deducted, or recieving a warning for a headbutt, or low blow?..

On the other hand, Oscar's contemporary Felix Trinidad may have preserved victory in his battle with Fernando Vargas by committing low blows..

How do you feel about Boxers who fight dirty to get the win, or guys who fight dirty just because that's them?..

Do the guys who fight clean get enough credit?..

Do we even know who they are?..

I think most fighters have good sportsmanship.. except for a few that are just known to be dirty: Guys like Golota, Corrales, Judah, Peter, Holyfield, Mayorga, Hatton, I mean even if a point was never deducted from some of these guys, would you be surprised if it ever comes to it?

Most elite fighters bend the rules here and there.

Even Oscar, who's one of the cleaner fighters, bends the rules here and there.

The problem is when it's extreme and way overboard.

Like Andrew Golota biting Samson Po'uha. Or Golota using Bowe's groin as a speed bag. Or Eusebio Pedroza elbowing and low-blowing Juan LaPorte like 100 times.

Or of course, Luis Resto taking some of the padding out of the gloves.

      Panama Lewis should be shot.

Barrera at times fights dirty, Hopkins fights dirty too grabbing on to the back of peoples heads. That I can think of... I don't think I ever seen Pacquiao foul, Oscar either. Kostya Tszyu also... though I haven't seen too many of his fights.

Winky Wright and Pernell Whitaker is two fighter that comes to mind regarding good sportmanship. However fighters generaly bend the rules one time in there carrier or throw a low blow, some more then others.

Hopkins and Casamayor are both pretty rough fighters. They both bend the rules for sure. Hatton is a bit like this too.

I believe Fritzie Zivic was regarded as a bit of a dirty fighter.

Urkal was fighting dirty in that Cotto bout.

Pacquiao hit Marquez when Marquez was down, or hanging on the ropes.

Tszyu repeatedly threw Mitchell and Chavez to the ground. Both Tszyu and Hatton fouled each other quite a bit. De La Hoya hit Campanella when he was down 2 times, hit Vargas after the bell, and sometimes uses the open palm, "size em up" thing with his left glove to put his opponent in position for the right (Lederman commented on it).

It's not a big deal. De La Hoya is one of the cleaner fighters out there.

Bending the rules here and there is one thing.

Crap like what Freddie Norwood did against Derrick Gainer, now that's on another level.

Yep. That's an understatement. Zivic was vicious with his thumbs and laces.

Battling Nelson and Harry Greb were a couple of other very dirty fighters of the old school.
