Bernard- who said he was having problems making middleweight with age and had to move up to light heavyweight to better suite his body would almost die trying to drain himself to get to 154. He'd come into the fight lethargic, sickly and unfocused. Floyd would pepper him with shots the whole night until Bernard actually fell down onto his face in a ruined pile or his corner/ the referee ended the massacre.

Current Hopkins would have to be shipwrecked to get down to 154.
