Margarito is what he is and thats a top welter thats alot of fun to watch because of his style and everyone knows hes no all time great.He's a brawler who likes to throw bombs has a good chin and seems like a decent guy.Why people hate on him all the time is beyond me.

It is illogical to say he 'dodged' Williams when in fact he fought more experienced and credible fighters like Clottey. Williams was never a name and never got any recognition to even warrant a fight with Margarito until the last year, and that is arguable.

I exaggerrated with the 2 years, but Punisher has been Marg's mandatory for over a year. Marg was ducking paul without shame. He was even contemplating relinquishing his title so he could fight Cotto and not Williams. guess what? Marg wasted his time. If Margarito is claiming that no one wants to fight him and his 4 loss record, then he shouldnt be dodging mandatories that are a threat to his title.

Margarito only took this fight cuz he has no where else to go.

Margarito will ko williams then cotto...then all these losers will invent another excuse after excuse....they prefer someone like gayweather who runs away from his own shadow...everyone knows clottey didn't break his hand that is why he fought 4 months later...and when he was interviewed after the corrales fight he said he injured both his left and right against margarito.....i truly doubt that...2 broken hands.....Clottey is better than gayweather dlh and cotto ...but he is no match for margarito ..who even after only having a 2 minute fight in 2 years still was able to fight through the rust and clottey's defense and force him to quit ......funny how when clottey was asked about who he wants to fight next after he was asked about another fight with margarito he stated he wants to fight the other champions....I wonder why?????????????FEAR

by the way clottey still beat margarito 7-5 couple rounds were close and i could see how some blind people could give them to margarito, margarito never landed any good punches the whole fight just threw a bunch of wild shots that were blocked or slipped, everytime clottey threw he landed hard on margarito.
i guess im a person who likes clean hard accurate punches and good defense rather than many wild shots, bad balance, and no defense, obviously something happened after the fourth round and not something margarito did cause he was getting the **** beat out of him, i dont know what and i dont really care all that much. In a rematch clottey pummels margarito badly and knocks him down at least once or more and maybe stops him depending on if they have joe calzaghes ref in there. Either way its just a replay of clottey-corrales, i just love clottey cause you can set up a picnic table on his forehead

Williams became the Mandatory in August of 2006. He beat the WBO #1, named Walter Matthysse. This fight was Williams 1st fight on HBO. Clottey fought and won against Richard Gutierrez on the undercard. Clottey was ranked #5 at the time. Margarito chose to start negotiations with Clottey because its rumored that Williams was asking for too much.

I think Clottey's biggest problem was Margarito's work rate. Once Margo picked it up, Clottey went into a shell.

...I didint observe that at all. The moment Clottey's hand went out on him, he was visbily shaken and in obvious pain from the matter. I have seen margarito fight about 6 times, while people are clamoring on about his injury, the difference is that Margarito didint look any different, injury or no injury, than he did in his other fights. Same footwork, same terrible defense, same wild punches, no head movement, his "injury" didint sustain any difference. Clottey was never hurt, ever. Margarito almost basically won by default, he threw more punches because the other guy was hurt, and in visible pain. Margarito's shots were wide and borderline amatuerish, as usual.
