margarito it's def a threat in the welterweight division... he did beat clottey i think if he fights clottey he will win by KO don't forget he was coming off his longest lay-off + he injured his hand as well, that's what happens in boxing,
tough loss for clottey it's not margarito's fault, if mayweather loses to dlh that's his problem it would not be dlh's fault would it ?

(i think there were some rumours that margarito had injured before the fight but those reports said it was his ankle ad it was nothing serious, after the clottey fight it was his wrist.. and he was dying)

I'll respect Margarito now. He's finally facing someone the public views as a threat. I respect him because he's facing the 2nd coming of Hearns! I don't respect his past accomplishments by any means though.

I think Clottey's biggest problem was Margarito's work rate. Once Margo picked it up, Clottey went into a shell.

And obviously Margarito's injuries weren't as serious as Clottey's. When neither fighter was injured in the early rounds, Clottey dominated. That's a fact.

You are not a doctor, and frankly, given your past rants against Margarito, no one should take you seriously at all on this issue. Who are you to say whose injuries were worse? This 'dominating' word gets used much too frequently on here also.

Another thing I notice is a racial divide. Many of you guys who like black fighters like Floyd and Roy act pissy about Margarito. I do not get this. You act like small children with your racial bias. I love RJJ more than anyone, but some of you refuse to admit that any style outside of a 'slick black' fighter is more than average.

For the record, Williams is no slick boxer. He gets hit easily. His defense and overall ability is not on Clottey's level. Williams is not going to expose jack. Stop kidding yourselves. Enough with the delusion. If Williams win, it will be by close decision.

It is illogical to say he 'dodged' Williams when in fact he fought more experienced and credible fighters like Clottey. Williams was never a name and never got any recognition to even warrant a fight with Margarito until the last year, and that is arguable.

It also must be said that whoever started this thread is silly. Margarito did not easily beat Clottey by any means. It was a good close fight that seemingly NEITHER side can discuss without bias.
