As with Klitscko, I think that his main improvement is that he's much more confident and dangerous. IMO, if a rematch were to happen now, Klitschko would win via KO.

However, give Peter a couple more big wins and I think he closes the gap and this becomes a much closer, competitive, and entertaining rematch.

If all goes to plan, and I hope it does, Peter wins the WBC title, defends it against Vitali and then meets back up with Wladimir sometime next year.
peter was simply out of shape in his first fight with toney thats why his stamina and punch output was better in the rematch. he showed good stamina in other fights against shufford and pudar most notably. he was also in good shape versus wlad but wlads strong jab and leaning on him wore him out. I need to see peter against another good heavyweight before Im sold on him really improving. toney just looked awful to me in the rematch

I'm cautiously optimistic that Peter will come into the ring in shape against WBC champ Oleg Maskaev. You know i'd be a shame if Peter came in overweight because he's fought two eliminators to get this shot. I'm betting Duva will do everything in his power to make sure Sam is in shape and ready to claim the title. Barring any conditioning problems, I don't see how Peter can lose this one...

no,,,,I think its a very dangerous fight for vit. Ive said that before. he's going to be rusty and peter is young strong and hungry. Im leaning slighty toward vit but it wouldnt surprise me a bit of peter takes it. Im not sure vitali will have that same upper body movement that made it so difficult for fighters to land cleanly on him. as far as peter's progress goes Im just not totally convinced that he's improved that much. toney did show some serious stuff at heavyweight when he first moved up against holyfield but he;s gone downhill ever since. rahman should have got the win over him and toney did look dreadful against peter last time out. thats just a fact. he looked slow and clearly couldnt get out of the way of punches that he easilly would have slipped and blocked in his prime. a good handful of heavyweights would have beat toney his last fight. he finally showed his age that night

yea,,,,,hopefully he learned his lesson on coming in at 250 lbs+ Im hoping to see him closer to 240. hes clearly quicker at that weight. I think he'll stop maskeav in the mid to late rounds but maskeav is tough and experienced so I feel it wont be as easy as many think it will be. anyway,,,,Im pulling for peter as he'll make for more exciting fights in the future but still hope maskeav puts up a good fight as he's a nice guy and gives his all in the ring. peter vs vitali is one helluva a fight and I'll be drooling for that one

yea,,,big time. 2 big strong durable heavyweights locking horns. well,,,,the durability issue isnt etched in stone with vitali anymore. man,,,,I hope that leg doesnt give out. that would so suck. I wanna see a good fight that goes some rounds with no injuries
