Anybody who wasn't bitter about Lacy getting mashed by Calzaghe knew Calzaghe was going to win, not maybe so soon (well, some did) but it was inevitable.
Stoppage was rubbish, but can you honestly say Manfredo would have lasted that much longer anyway? -

I thought Manfredo looked out of his depth menatally and physically. Joe was quicker to the punch and carried the greater power. I was extremely unhappy about the stoppage, i wouldn't have been annoyed if it was a less important fight because Manfredo was getting caught and not defending himself, but it was a world title fight for god sake and shouldn't have been stopped at that point.Comment

It was a showcase for Joe’s talents, we've known this since December.
And...
I’m not to sure how people are coming to the conclusion that Hopkins and Kessler could beat him after the performance, only thing Hopkins has over Joe is a cooler sounding nickname. As for Kessler, you can make an argument over his tattoo looking better.Comment

The stoppage was Manfredo's fault for not fighting back. Poor refereeing though.
SRL called it right - Manfredo simply froze. He really seemed pissed off with Manfredo in the post fight interview.Comment
