Why Felix is better than Oscar.

Trinidad had a very good straight right hand too. His left hook was his big punch but by no means was it his only punch. We will have to agre to diagree my friend. Had this fight of happened the key to the fight would be Tito's power and if Sweat Pea could avoid it.
If Pete built his game plan around avoiding Tito's left hand I believe he would have done so. Keep in mind Pernell was the worlds #1 p4p fighter at 147 when this fight could have taken place.
Tito used to lose rounds to club fighters before getting even with his left hook, I would bet he never landed his home run, do you think he would have?
How often did Trinidad during his reign as WW titlist lose rounds to "club fighters"? He got dropped, often in round 2, then got up to beat the hell out of his opponents. The only title challengers besides De La Hoya that gave him any more trouble than a flash KD were Anthony Stephens and an old Pernell Whitaker, who still got beat up pretty badly.
Pea was a tough guy and slick, and I think his superior skills would enable him to win, but I don't see a wide shutout. What performance against any world class welterweight would make you think he'd shut out Trinidad?Comment

Ray wasn't.I am glad you do not deny he is an anti semite and a racist. Then you would be talking out of your ass. Yeah Sugar Ray Leonard nor Hagler were ever loyal to a trainer huh? I named those examples, because Oscar is on their level. Hell DLH would have fired Eddie Futch or Ray Arcel for Crying out loud. Charlie Goldman couldn't last with Oscar (though being a *** I doubt he would get the job).
He fired Angelo from his team in the late 80s over money, along with his brothers.Comment

Tito only lacked when he moved up in weight...at 147lbs, he was brilliant. Tito was definitely more exciting to watch. DLH had better skills, Tito had that power.Comment

He said Arum was the biggest *** to ever come out of Harvard. Which was a reference to his cheap ways and shady practices when asked. He also said in Ring magazine that black fighters have no heart and cannot take body punches. These are bought quotes, but could you imagine another fighter getting away with it.
That's true to an extent, about blacks. I don't know about the no heart part, but what he's trying to say is that he thinks, on average, blacks take blows to the head better than other races. Which I have actually been told before by, ironically, a mexican former amateur boxer who was #11 in the nation at 125lbs. He didn't make it big or anything. I remember ol Eddie Rodriguez tellin me tho, 'them black kids, **** em to the head they wont go anywhere, goto their body they quit on their stool'Comment
