Pac signed cuz of money. Golden Boy offered him a good deal but Top Rank was the better deal. There were past Filipino world champs who made good money(ex. Navarete and Luistio Espinosa). But once they lost the belt and the money, the so called friends and relatives were gone and that left the Filipino fighters broke. Pac does not want this to happen to him when he leaves boxing. Pac is making way more money than Navarete or Espinosa. Even if Pac is giving money to the people, he is using some of the money to buy propery or build a business so when he retires he will be financially well off. Also, Espinosa(now lives in California) still has a case about his earnings that never recieve against his promoters or managers. The other Pinoy members in here can explain it more about this case.

JMM would surgically dissect Valero, with his chin up and looping punches that you can see coming from a mile away, Valero would be easy pickings for JMM, Marquez would have him out of there within 8rds.

I expect JMM to win this in dominant fashion. Valero is not at all ready for a guy like Marquez. This kid has no fight experience at all for his this stage in his career. He never had the experience of fighting 6 and 8 rounders as a prospect, he's in way over his head. He had his problems with the comissions, which will effectively kill most of Valero's chances of landing a super fight as long as he's banned in America. But honestly, he doesn't have much of a chance against a complete fighter like Marquez or Barrera.

Throw him against Pacquiao, MAB, Joan Guzman or JMM, men who can pack a punch and outbox him. He will have a tough time. He is too wild and really never been taken the distance. His only chance would be to land some wild shots.

Yeah though he'd have a 50/50 chance agaisnt someone like Manny than Marquez. Manny's defense isn't great. He gets hit a lot just hasn't faced as big punchers that could hurt him to an extent. With Manny's lousy defense and Valero's big punch, it could easily be an even fight. Sure Valero has been down himself, though he has gotten back up. He's hungry. It really would be a war of the worlds if Manny-Valero ever got it on. Though against Marquez, just about everything is in favor with Marquez except Marquez's chin can be rocked just as easy.

Valero would tank out in 5 rounds. JMM would easily outbox him and it would be a one sided affair after the 5th round. Valero has balls to call out JMM, though.

But GBP will not fight in Japan when they could fight in Las Vegas. Unless Valero's promoter (isn't it Arum?) can make it a sweet deal for both Oscar and JMM.

You think Valero is technically proficient? I am a fan of his even though I've only seen a few of his fights but I cant help but notice how high he sticks his chin in the air. If Marquez can take Pacquiao's punch then im sure he could deal with Valero's. I think Marquez would be too much for him but I'd be excited at the chance for Valero to prove me wrong.
