Where did you draw the similarities? They're big and black? There is absolutely nothing similar between Briggs and Whitaker.
there's one similarity. they both lost lopsided decisions to the mighty jameel mccline

Ibragimov is a powerful puncher, but he ain't stopping Briggs with one shot or anything. I was very impressed by his performance against Whitaker like some others here were, but he still showed he was very vulnerable to right hands.

This should be a good fight. I'd lean towards Sultan winning, but Briggs could send him to la la land with a big right hand all the same.

I agree. That's why I predicted that the fight will not go the distance, but I didn't say Sultan will win for sure. My prediction: Sultan 60%, Briggs 40% chance of winning by KO or TKO.

sultan is more than capable of stopping briggs with one punch. he hits harder than darrol wilson and his one punch was enough. briggs is also probably capable of stopping sultan with one punch as well. its a dangerous fight for both guys but sultans stamina and work rate should be enough to stop a gassed briggs

People are obviously saying certain things about Briggs because they don't like him, but like I've said many times, he's as dangerous as anyone in the division. At this point, Ibragimov hasn't really proved himself against good opposition. He may well beat Briggs, but this is a step-up for him; he's never beaten a fighter of the calibre of Briggs before, and it looks as though Briggs will be in good shape for this fight, so it should essentially be a good version of Briggs.

This Ibragimov guy is a small heavyweight; he's hittable, and he will be getting hit. I think Briggs can **** him out of there, but it looks to be a good fight. If Briggs wins this I don't see any reason why there shouldn't be a fight with Klitschko. Klitschko needs a win over a Briggs type fighter to show he's improved and to show he can beat a tall powerful man with fast hands.

Let us not forget Sultan has a new trainer. This could have an impact on the way he approaches this fight. He may be cautious who knows? I lean toward Sultan, because if he is in good shape unlike the Austin fight he should do well. Sometimes fighters improve after winning a title and this may have been the case with Briggs. It can totally make a guy really confident and have a huge win streak start up.

Sultan punches hard enough to stop Briggs.
Well that's been established because Briggs really doesn't have that solid of a chin when someone lands flush, so yeah I see what you're getting at.
