Trinidads legacy vs De la Hoya's legacy(dont post on the other one....)

    Trinidad

    3 weight world champion

alphabet title at welter till unifing with de la hoya

15 defenses of his ibf welterweight title

    Undisputed super welterweight champion

    alphabet title at middleweight

    notable wins:

    welter:

camacho(post primebut not that far from his prime)
    Carr(prime)
Whitaker(end of career, 2 years after De la Hoya)
    Campas(prime, not that good)

    superwelter:

reid(prime, impressive victory, but Reid was kinda untested )
    vargas(prime)

    middle:

joppy(prime, not that good but it was impressive that he koed him)
mayorga(post prime and not in his natural weight)

    losses:

    hopkins
    wright
    should be De la Hoya

    Oscar De la Hoya

    6 wieght champion

paper title at 130 and 160

    notable wins:

    lightweight:

Molina(slightly post prime but good opposition when you have 16 fights...)
Ruelas(prime, this made him the linear champ at 135)
    Hernandez(prime)
    Leija(slightly post-prime)

    light welter:

Chavez(post prime but still an impressive victory)
Gonzalez(prime, undefeated alphabet titlist at 135 with some defences)

    welter:

Whitaker(post prime but still p4p fighter, close but De la Hoya won it by aggresiveness and activity
    Camacho(old...after trinidad)
    Chavez(old)
Quartey(prime, close but i think he won)
    Carr(post trinidad but still good)
    Arturo Gatti(just a name)

should have tito trinidad if he wasnt robbed

    super welter:

Castillejo(prime, but more tough than good)
Vargas(post trinidad, but still very good)
    Campas(post prime, not that good...)
Mayorga(post prime, but more in his natural weight)

should have shane mosley 2 if he wasnt robbed

    losses

    Hopkins
    Mosley 1
    should be Sturm

IN MY OPININION OSCAR DE LA HOYA HAS BY FAR THE GREATER LEGACY, BECAUSE TRINIDADS REIGN AT WELTERWEIGHT WAS LEGITIMIZED BY HIS VICTORY OVER DE LA HOYA!!!! AND WE ALL KNOW THAT FIGHT WAS A ROBBERY...

Rafael Ruelas was not the linear champ at 135. After Whitaker moved up it was vacant.

Anyway, I think this can go either way (like some of Oscar's fights). I'll pick Oscar by a slight margin but I can see the arguments for either.

Tough one,but im going with De La Hoya.He has been more sucessfull than Trinidad all around, and for a longer period of time. Most of Oscar's losses have been pretty close if not controversial. But theirs no questioning Felix's losses.

yeah but that was a unification fight and it made de la hoya at least the more recognized champion at 135

I'm picking trinidad, oscar's win over felix sturm is a much bigger robbery than his loss to tito. Trinidad beat more prime fighters, he only went after a couple of old guys.

i think trinidad's loses were bad, that would be the difference at least mentally
