His career and ability speaks for itself, probably the most gifted fighter behind the original Sugar Ray.

I was a fan of his except when he took on Duran and Hagler. I just liked those two better. Still a fan of SRL, though.

I think Hagler would be too strong for him in 1982. He was also much faster with amazing stamina compared to 1987.

Pryor v Leonard would be interesting, but i think Leonard could do everything Pryor could but better. Plus Leonard was naturally bigger, faster, probably more powerful.

Yeah, I was a Ray Leonard fan. He was a great boxer. The Hagler-Leonard fight was massive back then and I wanted Leonard to win it. Nowadays, I would appreciate Hagler more as a down to earth guy.

Let me put it in my own words:

If you thought Floyd was good, SRL is way better.

To put it simply...Pretty damn good!He was nearly the complete package in his prime. His speed, power, chin, footwork,Etc were very impressive. But I think his two best qualities were his ring smarts and adaptablity. Both of which he showed in the first Hearns fight, and the second Duran fight.

One of the greatest of all time, not only did he have unbelievable speed, he fought and beat other all-time greats (Benetiz, Duran, Hearns, and Hagler).

Sugar Ray Leonard had ALL the ingredients of a great fighter and when he counted the most he exhibited them. Case closed.
