....Good question and I don't really get it myself. Before Zoo made him do the chicken dance he was kicking his ass all over the ring. Zab had a good first round and that was all he was going to have. Zoo beats him 100 out of 100 times. Zab may be one of the most overated fighters ever. Losing to Baldy is laughable and losing to Spinks was unacceptable as well.

      Ah, you're one of those.

Those guys who watch 4 or 5 fights on a guy and think that they know whats up, indefinitely. In the Bergman fight he showed heart. Against Millet he showed some of the sharpest boxing skills you can see today. Won the first round even after a legit knockdown. He destroyed Cosme Rivera, who was reputed for his steel chin.

i've seen him fight several times: millett, zoo, weiss, corley, baldy, pbf, bergman, vester and i'm not ******ed..... he keeps his hands by his waiste, backs star8 up when under constant pressure(zoo, baldy) and is open to the right hands all day...

yes zab has power and speed and i'll even give you the heart comment.... but his skills are mediocre, his chin is questionable and work ethic/focus is inconsistent... take away zab's speed and his skills would not be enough to make him a top 20 fighter...

Easy, Guru was mostly right. Zab does back straight up, he does get caught with all kinds of sucker punchers, his feet are fast but he's worked himself into ugly spots before.

He's a very flawed fighter, even if he has some eyepopping strengths.

Expect Cotto to work him to death. This is an ugly matchup for Zab, even worse than KT. Mayweather on the other hand was the perfect match for Zab, so his performance in that fight is irrelevant.

I said that exact same thing last week. The talk of 'Zab was winning the fight 'til he got caught' is utter nonsense. In 100 fights Zab never makes it past five rounds, the big blow was coming any second in that fight.

My question is, what makes him so appealing to you all? He doesnt have the most interesting personality. I know Im not the only one who cringed when he was on Friday Night Fights. Then there was the whole Mayweather situation, and he even punched Baldomir in the stomach during the ref instructions. He comes off as a ****y, dumb, prick in my eyes, yet he has a lot of fans. Im not hating on his skills because he does have them. Im just wondering is all...

Is it more a case of people liking Zab, or a case of people wanting Cotto to fail?

The American public is ******. The same guys on here who ***** about women who treat them like **** and need to be treated like ****,are probably the same ones that find Zab appealing. He is a street thug little punk with no heart. Nice guys are overlooked. Lennox Lewis was, the Klitchkos are as well. Same with Kosta Tzyu..very very nice classy man and you dont hear his name mentioned on here as much as Zab. People like wanna be tough guys. Theyve busted nuts over Tyson, and Judah for ages and will continue to do so.

Yup I like him cos I like boxers who have some pop but also have a suspect chin. Thats why I like Wlad and Cotto as well.
